During the cold winter months, it's nice to be out in the sun, be it at the sea or in the mountains. Sometimes I would say that the climate around the Mediterranean sea feels like spring, not really winter, because it's mostly sunny and the temperatures are mild, except when it's raining or humid. What's nice to see, is that beaches are mostly empty. There are some occasional visitors, but it still feels very peaceful.
I like to sit by the coast and watch at the sea. It's a moment that I take for myself. I enjoy looking at the distance and feeling the present moment past by, acknowledging our own existence. Breathing and existing, being one, here and now.
In the world where people feel overwhelmed and often forget that the most important thing is to actually take some time for ourselves, it's important to take a step back. If we can't find time, we have to find it, it's always there. If one wants something, one will find a way, if one doesn't, one will find an excuse.
I have always liked the sea. The other thing I liked are the rocks or the sand around it, as well some details, like this interesting stone path.
It feels warm and sunny, strange for winter, but perfectly normal in the southern Italy. Sometimes I wish we only had two seasons, summer and spring. But still I like the snow in the winter too!
Each season has something unique, and in each season you can seek another season if you want to. It suffices to take a plane and go from winter to spring, or from winter to summer, or from summer to winter, anything is possible, at the same time, just in some other country and on another part of this magnificent planet!
