Myllysaari is a small island at the end of a chain of islands jutting into Lake Vesijärvi. There is a small boat harbor and a club house belonging to a local boat club on the island. There is a restaurant in it open to the public in the summer.
The chain of islands is on the right.
This is the first of the three bridges leading to the end of the chain.
Where we came from. That's a nice place to build a house. That ice is too weak to walk on. It will most likely be gone by May 1.
The harbour and Sibelius Hall, the main concert hall
The district of Niemi
The last of the three bridges leading to Myllysaari
The last two through the 300 mm lens. Looks very different, doesn't it?
You can see a bit of the city center.
The lake ice seems to have damaged this platform.
That is a really cool location!
A hail storm broke out suddenly.
This is the club house
This is a sauna.
I like lakefront homes like this. But my wife doesn't. She says she wouldn't like her back yard being exposed to the wind like that. She has a point. Maybe that's not a good idea in this climate.
I like how these shots are combination of both nature and urban world...
Thank you! That place has very good visibility into every direction over the lake.
