These shots are of a steam train for tourists operated by a historical steam train association. Today's route was between Kouvola and Loviisa via Lahti. There is also a video of the steam train departing.
I came about five minutes early to park my car. The train was a bit late so I took a few shots of the surroundings.
There were people waiting to board the train here to visit the town of Loviisa.
That is a carpentry factory.
People about to board the train
The conductor is making sure everyone is on board. I heard him tell another guy check the other side, too.
It's leaving now.
Video or didn't happen.
The cyclist expressed happiness for being lucky enough to have seen the train.
Gone.
I like that old storage building.
Winding roads on the way home

Feels much like yesteryear when trains stopped to allow passengers to get on/off at remote destinations.
Brilliant witnessing the old steam loco still moving along the line! Town look humble and quiet region would suit me fine as well !LOLZ

It doesn't take much imagination for this to feel like the wild west.
Wow these shots are really great! I work in a train company so I know how fascinating they are but this steam train is on another level, as well as your pictures 😍
Thank you!
What a cool shot and experience! I only remember seeing steam train but only at the museum. I never had the chance to get onboard with it. Must've been great to be inside of it. The train looks well-maintained too!
Yeah. Perhaps we'll buy a ticket and go on a trip some other time.
Very interesting story, well done! 👋
In Bulgaria we also have a steam locomotive on a narrow gauge railway. I hope to show you soon.
Please do. Museum railways and rolling stock are interesting.
You're most welcome!
