It's winding down here. We didn't get nearly as much snow as they had predicted, just a bunch of wet slushy stuff that is already dripping. My daffodils will live to see another day!

Good your flowers will survive. It is just starting here. Rain right now. The wind is what is scary. They are predicting 70 mph gusts. Hard to even sleep through those because of the noise much less the worry about downed trees and power outages.
Oh! We only had 40 mph gusts. No trees down here. Be safe.
I'm sure we will be fine 🤞 we didn't consider this as a high wind area when we moved here but there are a couple of storms a year with very strong winds. We live kind of on the front edge of the mountains and sometimes storms create strong winds down (or up?) the mountains.
It is interesting how topography makes such a difference. Magnolia Bluff is 20 miles to the west and only 1080 ft tall, but I can watch weather radar and when rain storms are moving in from the West, I can watch them get to the bluff and split and go north and south and we never get a single drop of rain here.
