Without a single cloud on the sun - an attempt at cinematography.

We all know it takes up to two hours after sunrise and before sunset. Yes, but this is not always possible. You know - hectic model schedules, chasing deadlines, or screaming babies... So I did this experiment. We went with Tsvetina to a huge field with no trees or shutters to create shade. Me, her and the sun. I increased the speed as much as possible, leaving the aperture at 2, because of the bokeh.
The processing was the hardest because my style is cinematic, which means shooting in all conditions except pure sun like that day. Nevertheless, I think it turned out well. If we had an anti-glare powder / matte /, the result on the face would be much better. I think we broke another myth. My bottom line is to shoot whenever you can, not when you see it's sunny and put off work for tomorrow.

HERE'S ANOTHER TIP:

Don't make your model stare the entire time you're framing your shot against the sun! Tell him to close his eyes and count to 3 or 500 / if the time is yours /. I really like these kind of borders because it gives a great minimalistic style.
I expected to meet some herd of animals, but we had no luck and no time to spend searching.

You can see a video of the session here

THANKS FOR SHARING THIS STORY!

I took the shots with an 85 mm lens and a Canon EOS RP

lovely! thanks for that reminder! Also, do you pay for the model? or you're friends with her?

I can totally relate to screaming babies hahaha

Hello! Yes, with babies it is complicated, but possible :))). I pay if I do advertising photography. I made this story for us. The most difficult thing is to find brands to advertise... God bless everyone! :)

i see.. that's true with babies indeed!

What if you result to being a cinematographer? Well, the pictures are very beautiful. I love it

Nothing is known... Many thanks! 👋

Love the results! Especially the last one😍

Also I found the cloudy weather as the best for shooting, it gives nice diffused light and less struggle with sharp shadows.

Exactly! I wanted to check the processing with solar shots as well. Greetings! 👋
