This is the photo of Kolkata Metro Train, a rapid transit system in the city. You can easily and quickly reach from one end to another end of the city. Bus takes more time to reach the same destination due to big traffic. Few years ago, we used to ride non-air conditioned trains, but now all of them has been transformed into air conditioned. Currently, the city has three operational lines - (I) Dakshineswar to Kavi Subhash, (ii) Sealdah to Salt Lake Sector V, and (iii) Joka to Taratala. Some lines are in under-construction. I usually ride the trains that run between Dakshineswar and Kavi Subhash.
The following three photos are of Rabindra Sadan located in Kolkata, the capital city of West Bengal. Its foundation stone was kept by the then Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, of India. Rabindra Sadan was named after the great poet Rabindranath Tagore who won noble prize and composed the national Anthem of India. Its construction was started in 1961 and finished in 1967. Rabindra Sadan is the center of various cultural programs including entertainment, dance, drama, and exhibitions every evening.
This flyover is made just beside Rabindra Sadan to reduce traffic. The big government hospital of Kolkata called SSKM is located to the opposite of Rabindra Sadan.
The Calcutta Fitness Studio is the most reputable premium gym in Kolkata. However I have never gone inside the gym. I recently came to know about it. Its first outlet was opened in August, 2018 and now it has created more outlets at different locations in Kolkata. Despite shut down during covid 19, it still exists and running the outlets successfully.
This is a tea stall, which I visit every evening, located in my area. Most people of Kolkata drink tea everyday. If it remains closed, I visit another stall to drink tea. Although there are numerous tea stalls in the city, I captured the photos of two stalls only.
All photographs are taken by me.
