Elephant camp or the oasis of Burma's tropical zone

Shwe Set Taw elephant camp is located at the bank of the Mhan river(often Man River) that flows to the Irrawaddy river. We can say that the elephant camp is the oasis of Burma's (officially Myanmar) tropical zone.

The surrounding of the elephant camp is also known as the semi-desert. At the Shwe Set Taw elephant camp, the visitors can get the pleasures of the nature and the beauties of the environment of Mhan river. We can go to the elephant camp by passing through the Pathein-Monywa road from Magway, the capital of Magway Region.

At the elephant camp, there are thirteen Elephants and their dozens of elephant keepers. The visitors can stay overnight at the elephant camp because there are so many bamboo bungalows that are decorated by the rural handmade.

The services are great. It is very clean with a shared toilet and bathrooms. There is a large of parking lot for the visitor's vehicle. There is also a local restaurant in the elephant camp where the visitors can enjoy the rural food. For the visitors with children, there is a children playground and more than one seesaws. One thousand kyat to a person and five thousands per foreigners as an entrance fee to the elephant camp.

At the elephant camp, you can ride the elephant along the side of river with fee. The rural residents are very friendly and hospitable to the visitors. So, i would like to recommend you to visit the elephant camp on your vacation.

မောင်တိုးတက်တစ်ယောက် အကောင့်ဝင်မရတာ နှစ်ချီကြာခဲ့တာ ခုမှပြန်ဝင်လို့ရ၍ စတင်ကြည့်ခြင်းဖြစ်ပါတယ်ခင်မျာ ။ ဆင်စခန်းကိုလည်း လာရောက်လည်ပတ်နိုင်ဖို့ ဖိတ်ခေါ်လိုက်ပါတယ်။ အမှားများရှိရင် သည်းခံပေးကြပါခင်မျ။
