A Celebration of Love: Dancing, Dining and Delights

Hello, wanderers! It’s Marinel (@minelwanders20) back with another blog. 🤗 Today, I’m sharing one of the most unforgettable moments of my life—our wedding reception! I’ve already shared our journey from preparations to church, where we said our heartfelt "I Do’s." This time I'll be sharing the happenings on our reception. Because of the overwhelming and packed of memories, I just can't sum up it all. So let me split this magical moment detail by detail. 😅

As we arrived at the venue, our guests were already sitting on their assigned tables, while our parents, principal sponsors, and entourage were lined up at the entrance. They were gathered for a fun dance entrance by partners—such an exciting moment! 😂 But before we were called in, our host took the spotlight first. Of course, she had her own moment to shine! She danced the Tala by Sarah G., and honestly, she is really good! It was such a fun and lively start to our reception.

Of course, after our host introduced herself and danced for her introduction, she immediately called in my husband’s parents for their entrance dance. It was such a fun moment because they were totally in sync and enjoying the activity. Their energy was contagious, making everyone laugh and cheer. The whole crowd was entertained, and even my other guests couldn’t stop smiling. It was truly a lively and joyful way to kick off our wedding reception, setting the perfect mood for the night!

Next in line were my mother and brother. If you're wondering why my brother was my mother’s partner, I’ve shared in a previous blog that my father has passed away, so my kuya stood as my father. It was such a touching yet fun moment because they were both game for the host’s surprise activities. Their energy and on the go made the entrance even more exciting!

And of course, our principal sponsors was very "on the go" with the activity! They were so game for their dance entrance, bringing so much fun and energy to the moment. The best part? They had no any idea what song would play next! 🤣 But luckily enough, it was just a mix of trending TikTok mashups, so they quickly caught on and make different moves. 😅 Everyone was laughing, clapping and cheering as they danced along. It was such a fun and unforgettable part of our reception!

Our entourage was definitely not one to be left behind! The boys were a bit hesitant at first, (it's given since boys are shy when it comes to this activity) while the girls were full of energy, ready to hit the dance floor. 😂 Some of the groomsmen just went with the flow, especially with the girls going all out and hyped up to groove. It turned into such a fun and lively moment, filling the room with cheers and laughter!

The highlight of the event was, of course — US! 💕 My husband and I made our grand entrance, and it was such an overwhelming moment. Seeing our guests so happy and supportive filled our hearts with joy. Their smiles, cheers, and a face that is full with excitement made everything even more magical. Looking back, I can’t help but get emotional mesmerizing it all. I never thought I’d experience such a beautiful moment in my life.

After we had our grand entrance, we were told to stand at the middle of the hall to have our photoshoot. After all the poses and smiles, here comes the heartfelt moment, giving messages from our beloved parents and friends. Our little drama session. 😂 Both our parents shared their heartfelt messages, giving us words of wisdom and guidance for our marriage. Their love and support were deeply felt. Our best man and maid of honor also gave touching speeches, officially welcoming us as a married couple. Their words were so sincere that it was impossible not to get teary eyed. It was a moment filled with love, warmth, and tears of joy. 💖

After all the heavy dramas, it was time for some fun! 😂 My host and coordinator had prepared so many entertaining activities that kept our guests laughing nonstop. Gladly, all my guests seems very willing to participate. The energy in the room was just amazing, everyone was engaged and having the best time. No one even thought of leaving early because the event was just that enjoyable! 🎉

And for the final game—here comes the garter churva! 😂 They picked one boy and one girl from our guests, and the twist? Whatever my husband did to me, the chosen pair had to do the same! The whole room was filled with laughter and teasing as everyone excited to watched what would happen next. It was such a fun and playful moment that had our guests cheering and enjoying every second. Definitely one of the most hilarious highlights of our reception! 🤣

Of course, the final part of the night was the photo opportunity! 📸 We had our picture-taking session with both sides of our families, and close friends capturing these precious moments as a beautiful remembrance of this magical event. Every smile, every pose, and every wackies held so much love and joy. It was the perfect way to wrap up our unforgettable wedding reception, sealing all the laughter, emotions, and memories in photos we’ll cherish forever. 💕
