Pancho is the new boss!

in Photography Lovers2 years ago (edited)

Heeeyho Readers! Sometimes I feel like photographing again.

The poles have flipped in our home. Our seven-years-old dog (Nina) and two-year-old cat (Princess) have lost the throne. A new puppy invaded their territory like a hurricane ravaging the earth. One can't stand endless hours of a Tasmanian devil running after her tail (call her grumpy granny); the other is getting less prickly as she gets used to the puppy. I didn't know pets could be so jealous at times.

This time I set as a goal to try and register as many photos as possible of our new family member. Little minions grow up so fast! The hard thing is capturing the beast with the only semi-decent lens on my disposal: a 1980's all-manual 50mm Nikkor f1.8 plugged into a 2013 Nikon D7100. By the time I manage to set the focus, little bastard moves a hundred times.

You can imagine a two-months old puppy is full of energy, which kinda exhausts our other pets. The good thing is that we have a front yard with plenty of space for Pancho to run around. Considering he does not stop for Christ sake, let's say the photos are... acceptable (remember, not auto-focus). Yeah, a real test to anyone's patience.

The best strategy is to drain his energies so the others can enjoy a bit of peace laying on the grass. He's snoring by my side right now, so perfect time to go for a walk. I like to say that Pancho is either on or off; full gas or hibernating.

Let's play!

Nina is seeking safety where Pancho can't climb. God save the Queen when he is old enough to jump on stuff (hopefully he's calmer by then).

And she's thinking, "you gonna do something or not." She's not the one cleaning pee and poop. {Sigh}. We might say Pancho is a little too energetic, but in the future, when he's calmer like the others, we'll wish he was running around doing dumb shit again. It's funny. And makes our day, for sure.

Lastly, a photo of Nina remembering the days she had the yard all for herself.

Do you have any pets?

Pet's (cat and dogs in my case) are a truly gift. I'd love to know your funny moments with pets. And I hope you have enjoyed these photos ^~

Peace.

Pancho is a cutie pie! But he looks very tiny, it shouldn´t be so difficult to make him tired, is it? :D

He's becoming 3 months old on the 29th 😳 growing fast. Not difficult to exhaust him indeed, just open the door and let the beast run free on the grass \o\

How cute she looks, I love her ribbons, she is very flirtatious.

I can imagine how jealous the other pets will be hehehehe.

I'm sure he thinks they're going to take all the attention away from him that they were giving him.

Hopefully they will become friends and everything will go well.

I too hope for that. They do play sometimes, but the little one doesnt know when to stop hahaha

I never knew how jealous they can be! Interesting is that the cat is ok, but our older dog is a hella jealous, almost annoyed. I hope things get back to normal soon.

so cute bro !!

I have a 15 yrs old bichon now but when I look at your Pancho it reminds me of mine at that age when it was chewing shoes and chairs and running wild :) fun times, enjoy!
