Though many parts of the northern hemisphere are still waiting for even the smallest sign of spring, it is well underway in Japan. This weekend I was fortunate enough to have nice weather and some time to go out to the park to take photos!
While not as famous as the cherry blossoms which are still a few weeks away, plums make up for it with their increased variety and longevity of the blossoms, about 2 sometimes 3 weeks!
I love the vibrant pink of these as yet to open flower buds!

Love the bokeh here too and check out the little spider on its delicate web between two of the blossoms. I hope it's enjoying the view too!
