Golden Hour among the Plum Blossoms

in Photography Lovers2 years ago

Though many parts of the northern hemisphere are still waiting for even the smallest sign of spring, it is well underway in Japan. This weekend I was fortunate enough to have nice weather and some time to go out to the park to take photos!

While not as famous as the cherry blossoms which are still a few weeks away, plums make up for it with their increased variety and longevity of the blossoms, about 2 sometimes 3 weeks!

I love the vibrant pink of these as yet to open flower buds!
Ranging from the bright pink of the above photos to a snowy white and the limitless shades between:

While beautiful close up, taking a step back offers a new appreciation:

While the "Golden Hour" is wonderful for photos, the end does come with sunset!
I was lucky to capture some new favourite plum blossom photos:

and last, but perhaps my favourite from this outing:

Love the bokeh here too and check out the little spider on its delicate web between two of the blossoms. I hope it's enjoying the view too!

I enjoy the colorful details and textures of these photographs. That spider in the last image is awesome. Great set!
