Here are a few images I've captured over the past couple of weeks. In black and white photography, what's crucial is contrast and mood. Some may believe that converting a photo to black and white is a quick path to artistic success, but I disagree. To me, it's about having a deep understanding of tones, colors, shades, and highlights.
Below are some images I've taken using just my mobile phone and a preset in Lightroom. All editing was done right on the smartphone device.
I hope these photos illustrate the importance of tonal understanding in black and white photography.
