Sun | Moon - Mobile photography walk

Winter is one of the best times to take photos, especially when the sun is shining, and particularly during the afternoon and evening. The sun is very low in the sky, and its path is different from other months, which creates a unique atmosphere. The sunlight can be quite harsh, but it still falls within the 4800K-5200K range, typical for daylight Winter light often has a bluish tint compared to the warmer hues in summer. In contrast to the summer, when the sun is low, winter provides the perfect conditions for the 'golden hour' just before sunset. This time offers softer, warmer light in the range of 3200K-3800K, which is ideal for creating rich, flattering tones.

Winter light is almost like the effect of a beauty dish in studio photography, for those who have experience with portrait lighting. You'll know exactly what I mean.

Here are a few snaps of buildings captured in this unique winter light.

See how low the sun is during the winter and how sharp the shadows it creates can be.

Finally it's not only about Sun but also about the Moon both of them can travel very low and be seen at the same time of the day.

Interesting. Nice. And I'm still not going for a walk.

Interesting photos and the ones with the moon are my favourite. 😉 The long shadows are always so striking too.
