Not-So-Ordinary Ordinary Items Challenge 😌 is about photographing everyday objects, reflecting on them and also showing the creative process. The Sunday modeling was in charge of my sunglasses. They are the only ones I have and they were given to me by a very special person, after using them for a while. When he gave them to me, case and all, I said, "Now I'm going to look through your glasses and I'm sure my days are going to be wonderful, just like yours."
My days, in reality, although many sadnesses are counted in them, have been relevant in one way or another and the wonders are always within reach of my eyes, it is a matter of knowing how to look.
In this exercise, I thought I'd debut as a RayBan marketer, but before you value my work, you must to know that all my photographs in the Challenge are made with my phone.
Mis respetos y mis saludos para todos,Es el primer domingo de diciembre de 2022 y me gustaría que figurara en Hive como el inicio de mi interacción en esta magnífica comunidad. Llevo poco tiempo acá y entre mis intereses, tanto en la creación como el consumo de contenidos, está precisamente la fotografía.
El Not-So-Ordinary Ordinary Items Challenge 😌 es sobre fotografiar objetos cotidianos, reflexionar sobre ellos y además mostrar el proceso creativo. En este empeño estoy siguiendo un formato de publicación que siempre va a ser el mismo, a lo largo de este mes. Debo decir que en el reto me apunté enseguida que lo vi, pues es una bonita manera de despedir el 2022.Entonces, con este post participo por cuarta vez en el Challenge de @rubencress.El modelaje dominical estuvo a cargo de mis gafas de sol. Son las únicas que tengo y me las regaló una persona muy especial, después de usarlas un tiempo. Cuando me las dio, con estuche y todo, le dije: “ahora voy a mirar a través de tus cristales y seguro que mis días van a ser maravillosos, como los tuyos.”
Mis días, en realidad, aunque se cuenten muchas tristezas en ellos, han sido relevantes de un modo u otro y las maravillas están siempre al alcance de mis ojos, es una cuestión de saber mirar.En este ejercicio pensé en debutar como una marketer de RayBan, pero antes de que valores mi trabajo, te informo que todas mis fotografías en el Reto están hechas con el teléfono.
About the object / Acerca del objeto
Although the author of the challenge asked us to write down 30 everyday objects on a piece of paper, and even to do a little research before launching into the sea of ideas, I took the creative liberty of not doing so, so as not to be biased by any image other than those of my experiences. Every day the first thing I do when I wake up is to think about the item that will take center stage on the catwalk.
Today my mind landed on the RayBan, because when I looked out the door I saw that there was a strong sun, even though it was early in the morning and I thought I had no plans for a walk today, it would be a quiet Sunday, dedicated to this and other issues in Hive, such as organizing my work for next week. I still have a post about trading pending.
Aunque el autor del reto pidió antes de comenzar que anotáramos en un papel 30 objetos cotidianos, e incluso investigáramos un poco antes de lanzarnos a la mar de ideas, me tomé la libertad creativa de no hacerlo para no verme sesgada por imagen alguna, más que las de mis vivencias. Cada día lo primero que hago al despertar es pensar en el ítem que se llevará el protagonismo de la pasarela. Hoy mi mente recaló en las RayBan, porque al asomarme a la puerta vi que había un sol fuerte, a pesar de que era temprano en la mañana y pensé que no tenía para hoy ningún plan de paseo, que sería un domingo tranquilo, dedicada a esta y otras cuestiones en Hive, como organizar mi trabajo para la semana entrante. Tengo todavía pendiente una publicación acerca de trading.
Creative process / Proceso creativo
Sunglasses, resistant, protective, luminous and their crystals to look at wonders. That's where I started to create. The first photo I took was of the reflection (the second one in the collage) and then I recorded the set (the last one). That's when I opened the door and saw the sun. What you see in the glass of my sunglasses is a piece of my living room and some tripods. As I photographed the set I was impressed with the amount of dust on the lamp on the coffee table, which puts me in an imminent cleaning situation.
Impact, resistant... words that came to me. "We have to throw something at them to talk about their resistance," I thought. Then it occurred to me to use the bucket in which I keep the rice, put them inside and sprinkle them with the grains, experimenting with different shutter speeds. While I was taking the photos I thought of slogans... but I'd better not tell you about them. A shield, a universe... was one of the ones I came up with. When I finished the job and did some research I came across RayBan's "Never Hide", back in 2012, one of the most beautiful campaigns ever made against homophobia. A picture of two boyfriends, or girlfriends, wearing RayBan sunglasses, while rice is thrown at them, wouldn't be bad, right?
As I was thinking about the next image my mind was going round and round and I don't know why this idea began to repeat itself like a litany through my cranial ducts: Clearer than water... because it is said that not even the water is that clear. So the paraphrase suited my creation. And I placed the sunglasses in a container of water, previously lined with a nylon bag. I don't know if I'm a good marketer, but at least I tried.
At the end of the post I include some pictures of my second visit to the Hotel Starfish in Varadero Beach. As you can see, I do not move away from my sunglasses and I enjoyed those landscapes through their lenses.
Now let's see the technical details...
Gafas de sol, resistentes, protectoras, luminosas y sus cristales para mirar maravillas. Por ahí comencé a crear. La primera foto que hice fue la del reflejo (la segunda del collage) y luego dejé constancia del set (la última), en el que usé la botella para sostener el teléfono. Antes de ponerme a trabajar fue cuando abrí la puerta y vi al astro rey. Lo que se ve en el cristal de mis gafas de sol es un pedazo de la sala de estar de mi casa y algunos trípodes. Al fotografiar el set quedé impresionada con la cantidad de polvo que tiene la lámpara de la mesita, lo que me deja en una situación de limpieza inminente.Impacto, resistente... palabras que llegaban a mí. "Hay que lanzarles algo para hablar de su resistencia", pensé. Entonces se me ocurrió usar el cubo en el que guardo el arroz, colocarlas dentro y rociarlas con los granos, experimentando con distintas velocidades de obturación. Mientras hacía las fotos pensaba en eslogans… pero mejor ni les cuento. Un escudo, un universo… fue uno que se me ocurrió. Al terminar el trabajo e investigar un poco fui a dar con el “Never Hide” de RayBan, por allá por 2012, una de las campañas más bonitas que se han hecho contra la homofobia. Una foto de dos novios, o novias, con gafas de sol RayBan, mientras les lanzan arroz, no estaría nada mal, ¿verdad?
Al ponerme en función de la próxima imagen mi mente daba vueltas y más vueltas y no sé por qué esta idea comenzó a repetirse como una letanía por entre mis conductos craneales: Más claro que el agua … porque se dice más claro NI el agua. Entonces el parafraseo le venía bien a mi creación. Y coloqué las gafas de sol en un recipiente con agua, previamente forrado con una bolsa de nylon. No sé si valgo como marketer, pero al menos lo he intentado.
Al final de la publicación incluyo unas fotografías de mi segunda visita al Hotel Starfish en Varadero. Como podrás ver, no me aparto de mis gafas de sol y esos paisajes los disfruté a través de sus cristales.

I don't know if this is the same for you, but here in the Netherlands, we sometimes throw Rice to a Bride and Groom who just got married. That would be an awesome marketing shot, getting married, with RayBans on, and getting rice thrown at you ^^.
You did, yet, another great job with this challenge, love to see how creative you are and the thought process.
Hahaha you were waiting for my post. I'm going to go through yours now. I had to get this done early because here in Cuba we can run out of electricity at any moment and it makes it difficult for me to participate in the challenge. Even so, I had problems with this old Mac from 2008 and the creation is slowing down.

Nani excellent photographs I love the movement and the rays of light in retrospect you can look at another perspective of the location to take these images with those classic and always-on-trend Ray Ban I have mine they are a beauty.

Que fantasticas te quedaron las fotografías de hoy amiga.🤩 Mi favorita fue la que está más cerca de la madera.
