Marianao, Havana. Cuba.
I get oxygen in these streets where people can barely breathe.
I learned to camouflage myself in shadows and reflections, while the wind shakes my skinny body.
Today I felt unusual gusts. Maybe my thoughts were wandering, or rather flying... the wind was a sign.
Hurried and distant footsteps, sadness, loss and anguish creep, like small vermin, into my skin and I take care of them, I protect them, because I know they belong to someone else. Maybe if... I know, I just have to embrace them.
It's all I have, all that's left. Now I just need to have faith and help a smile to emerge.
The masquerade begins here and I'm going to bed.

😄 I haven't bought brand-name shoes for years... Well, I hardly buy shoes at all. My sister gave me these recently, she sent them to me from the USA. She bought them for herself, but she said mine were old and she would give them to me. I wouldn't have chosen Nike... I don't know much about brands. But I already wear these with affection.

No, my sister emigrated recently, she doesn't even have a residence permit yet. I should have dual citizenship (one of them Ukrainian), because I was born in Kiev. But I haven't been to the embassy. I will go. When I feel inspired to go.
