😃

No, not this climate, but the other one in which life tests you to see what the... fiddle you are made of.

There comes a point where yes, of course you are aware that things can get much, much worse.

The move

I don't know if I have the strength to resist so much while the last of my ‘youth’ (or energy, let's call it) is running out. Perhaps my smile, the good face I alluded to at the beginning, is already made up and is no longer real.

But the complaint doesn't work, right?. The best thing is that I came back, at least temporarily.
During the time of the blackout, I didn't sit idly by, or stare at the ceiling. I got a bit depressed, I can't deny it, but I managed to get over it too.
Yesterday I finally decided to go out for help and I took these photos, except the first one, from @mdrguez's window, with @eddyss's camera. They did have power supply for a few hours during these fateful days.
My friends, beautiful human beings too, offered me a corner of their fridge to store my food, some electricity to charge batteries, lunch and more than great company.

Thank you so much!

He sells cigarettes, Cubita coffee, soaps and I don't know what's in the white bag.

... He also has a bottle of rum and an open can of beer next to him... who knows?

In case you don't know, Cuba's power system collapsed on Thursday and millions of people have been without electricity ever since. Here in my neighbourhood we got electricity just a few hours ago.

It doesn't always look pretty from above.

I only caught a few moments. And some photos I took in black and white because I liked the harshness of the shadows.

Lots of motorbikes!

It's hard.... the whole situation, when I read you I get transported and I feel emotions that are not mine... it usually happens to me.

It used to happen to me that the electricity was cut off or just went out, it wasn't programmed and I didn't know when it would come back. How much I appreciate the help... very much!

Do you know the first thing I think of? My food will spoil... it hurts me to lose food. Whoever goes through it understands.

It doesn't always look good from above...

Courage!

Yes, the food that is not cheap at all. 😐

Thank you!

Take care girl, and hope the blackout is over very soon

👌 I'm in full charge mode... water tank full, food made. Everything under my control, controlled.

Thank you!

That second shot is fantastic with the colors and the butt cleft and the dog in tow.

😉 Me voy a preparar un ☕. Buenos días.

Ha, seems you've got a high camping spot this time! intresting selection, enough stuff to look at! Love such photo walks.

high camping spot

There is no better way to say it! Lol.

I was called to lunch and had to look away, but imagine how many things happen there day after day.

Where I live I only see trees, birds, reptiles and other critters, and the occasional neighbour doing laundry, herding cows or looking after the pig. I prefer it, honestly.

😁 (I seem to have run out of pizza - too bad, I enjoy it so much with beer).

!PIZZA

I prefer it, honestly.

Hmmm. I can understand this. On the contrary, I live in concrete-asphalt metropolis, and very rarely get out of it into the forest or swamp or seaside, so I value wild nature a lot (especially for #macro scenes). But, street life and other folks activities I value a lot too. It can be very entertaining!

ps. I rather prefer !PIZZA with coffee rather that beer 😎

That's why when I leave here and go into the concrete jungle everything I see catches my eye... it's like getting a shot of adrenaline. It's the other way round for you.

;)

I don't drink much beer. I rarely drink alcohol.

And right now I have my coffee mug next to me.

Now I understand you better! 😘 !LUV You should throw a post once in a while into Cinnamon Cup Coffee community, me thinks.

I don't think I've ever posted there. I will.

Thanks!

How nice and comforting it is to have a friend who in the midst of difficulties does not reach out her hand. @mdrguez is as we say the best. We are already recovering. The life of the Cubans goes on as seen in your photos represented by the Habaneros. Thank you for sharing with us. Good nito day.🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️

We have to keep going as long as we can. 🤗

I don't think the bad weather will pass anytime soon...so get ready to put on your best face because I'm sure there will be sunshine and rainbows after the storm, be patient and wait. For now, there's more lunch and soursop champola waiting for you.

Gracias.

Y cuídate mucho. 😉

I am glad to have read this post. I've been so immersed in my own stuff that I didn't hear about what happened with the electrical system, and well, you know we understand that feeling around here. I'm glad that people like @mdrguez, who I've gotten to know a bit through his posts, have helped you, and it's nice for me to discover that several hivers from Cuba are close to each other and support each other, how nice.

You have done something wonderful with that time without electric power, because the pictures are impressive, even those that from above do not look very good 😅 I see art in all of them and it is because you are excellent at capturing moments. I hug you Nanix, I wish that this week brings you all the good things that were not there last week 🙏 Amen

Hello, dear friend. Yes, they live relatively close. I charged the laptop, and the mobile phone (although there was no connection, not even for calls)... but at least I could entertain myself by watching a film or something in the blackout. And they also kept a few things for me that were already defrosted and could go to waste.
Thank you for your compliments. And yes, Hive brings people together because I met them at HiveCubaCon and we have a nice friendship.

Better days are sure to come. I wish you beautiful days too, @jesuslnrs. Gracias otra vez.

Hopefully everyone receives thier power back soon. Losing power for a longer periods just sucks. Take care Amiga

I suppose that everything will be working poorly as we have been working for a long time now. In our country there is no shortage of blackouts due to lack of fuel, and other times thermoelectric plants break down because they have been patched up for years, without an investment plan to fix them or replace obsolete technology.

Thanks Amigo, I'll take care of myself!

🤗 💚 🙏 Much like some other Latin countries, too bad Amiga.

You know I was looking forward to this publication. And you also know that we are glad to have you back among us.

Hugs.

🤗 Gracias.

De nada 😊, es un gran placer volver a leerte acompañado de tus fotos.

Me hubiese gustado aparecer con algo más placentero, pero no fue posible. 🙂
