I love places like this that are firmly embedded in the environment they’ve developed from. I can feel the fresh air and smell the aromas of it from your post. I’ve been to a similar place in Italy that was between Verona and the Dolomites as you start to drive up into the mountains. If only I could remember it’s name.
I also used to work as a freelance photographer here in the U.K. for a magazine that focused on farming. They sent me on all sorts of really interesting gigs and not all of them were farming related. One week I was photographing smallholdings for a feature and the next I was in an aircraft hangar that the science museum used to hold their largest exhibits. I miss that kind of stuff. They closed their business after three years, as readership dropped.
It was a nice era, getting payed to travel and see all sorts of interesting things! Usually tiring, if not exhausting but you came back home full of images and experiences :)
Italy must have many amazing places too. I am sorry I never had the chance to explore it properly!
Thank you for stopping by and have a lovely day :)
