He's very cute as he is! It was more that the eye itself and surrounding conjunctiva seem more inflamed than other photos I have seen. Did the doctor think that his blindness had a viral cause such as Feline herpes?

The doctor said that most likely it all started in early childhood, when they first open their eyes. Dirt or dust got in - inflammation started. And the mother cat apparently didn't keep an eye on the situation. When the cat came into our hands - the eye was already very inflamed and festering. I'll look for an old photo where he was very small
