This is something i have wanted to do for a while and i had a thin window of opportunity last night between 6pm and 9pm before the clouds rolled in and spoiled the party.

What makes this different from my usual one shot colour photography is that a special filter is used to spit the wavelengths of light and make them easy to split using a OSC camera (same for dslr) the Ha & Sii into red channel & Hbeta & Oiii into the blue channel and the rest of the spectrum is blocked out working as a light pollution filter.
I captured the image using my Altair Starwave 102ed refractor & Altair 269c on an Celestron AVX mount, the capture software above is NINA and it is an amazing piece of free software for controlling night time imaging. The images i captured where each 4 mins in length with over 40 stacked together using another piece of free software called Siril.
With the image stacked i had to separate images one for the Red and one for the Blue, these where combined and processed, allowing me to stretch the regions of Ha & Oiii separately to produce an image i am really happy with.
Dude, this is some next level work! Really nice.
