I am glad to present you my series of photos "The road through my eyes", as well as a short description of these photos. This is a poetic and photographic post, perhaps in style freewrite. I invite you.
I once had my old camera Canon PowerShot S2 IS. A lot of pictures were taken with this camera, and in general it is a separate story, because it was stolen from me.
But while I was using this camera, I loved experimenting with pictures. I often drove in the evening or at night. The traffic is very active, the lights illuminate the road from different directions, the headlights of oncoming cars blind you, the light of cars in your lane calms you down. All this is very romantic and bright. I decided to create my own vision of driving in the evening city and it turned out to be such photos.
This is my city Kyiv, Ukraine. However, could you name at least some location identification? Of course not, because it is in a big city you can get lost, like this light. It merges and moves, it comes to life and disappears, the light awakens and makes you fall asleep.
I imagine the mood of my photos to be something like this: when you listen to loud music or the monotonous noise of the road or any other noise for a very long time, you will later think that there is silence. You merge with the sound that comes from the external environment, and you become one. This silence is the loudest sound. And in my pictures the light is the greatest darkness and vice versa.
By the way, when you drive on the road in the night city, notice nature. Sometimes a huge moon will accompany you on your journey. He will ride with you on his parallel heavenly path. This is an incredible phenomenon, as the moon will be your main lantern.
Perhaps I am too confused to describe a series of my photographs, to put it simply, look at this dance of light and imagine the evening city. Maybe someone sees it the way I see it in these photos.
I really like the evening road, but if it is not light and dark, it is not for me like in the city. Because, as you know, it is very difficult to drive on a dark road and even dangerous. And the evening city lives for people, drivers, passers-by. The road in the evening is like a little holiday. However, I think the evening city without the road is a holiday, because life is in full swing here. The city is not sleeping. You live for the city, and the city lives for you. Dance with its lanterns and lighting.
Thank you to everyone who took such an excursion to my evening city. I hope you enjoyed it, despite the fact that I have only preserved smaller versions of my photos, as the originals are all gone with the old computers that I changed.
Thank you for your attention!
