Hello Photograph Lovers! 🌟 I left behind a week filled with a brand new start, smelling of coffee, skyscraper views and a little bit of "name memorization rush". I would like to share with you my first impressions from my workplace where I started working on Monday and what was reflected in my lens.
Merhaba Photograph Lovers! 🌟 Yepyeni bir başlangıçla dolu, kahve kokulu, gökdelen manzaralı ve biraz da “isim ezberleme telaşlı” bir haftayı geride bıraktım. Pazartesi günü çalışmaya başladığım iş yerimden ilk izlenimlerimi ve objektifime yansıyanları sizlerle paylaşmak istiyorum.
Office View: Galatasaray Stadium and a I’m Besiktas fan
When I sat down at my desk on the first day, the sight made me smile and feel ironic at the same time. The windows of our office were directly facing Galatasaray Stadium! As a Beşiktaş fan, my first reaction to this view was of course, "Well, it's a quirk of life!". 😄 But I admit: The orange lights falling on the stadium at sunset create a great contrast with the cup of coffee in my hand. This week, my archive became colorful with the coffee photos I took by that window. The mist of the cup, the silhouette of the stadium and the passing shades of the sky... Believe me, I captured a different story in every frame.
Ofis Manzarası: Galatasaray Stadı ve Bir Beşiktaşlı
İlk gün masama oturduğumda karşılaştığım manzara beni hem gülümsetti hem de ironik bir hissettirdi. Ofisimizin camları, tam da Galatasaray Stadı’na bakıyor! Beşiktaşlı birisi olarak bu görüntüye ilk tepkim, “Eh, hayatın cilvesi!” oldu tabii. 😄 Ama itiraf ediyorum: Gün batımında stadın üzerine düşen turuncu ışıklar, elime aldığım kahve fincanıyla muhteşem bir kontrast oluşturuyor. Bu hafta, o cam kenarında çektiğim kahve fotoğraflarıyla arşivim renklendi. Fincanın buğusu, stadın silüeti ve gökyüzünün geçiş tonları… İnanın, her karede farklı bir hikaye yakaladım.
Mirror and Elevator: My Daily Rituals
One of my most fun discoveries in the office has been mirrors and elevators. 🪞 When I enter in the morning, I can't resist taking a "good morning selfie" in the giant mirror in the office corridor. Thanks to the play of light and minimalist decor, every photo feels like a portrait! And then there are the reflections in the elevator... Those moments I capture between the fast-moving windows are like frames where time freezes. Maybe I can say "artistic interpretation of commuting".
Ayna ve Asansör: Günlük Ritüellerim
Ofisteki en eğlenceli keşiflerimden biri de ayna ve asansörler oldu. 🪞 Sabah girdiğimde, ofis koridorundaki dev aynada bir “günaydın selfie’si” çekmeden duramıyorum. Işık oyunları ve minimalist dekor sayesinde her fotoğraf sanki bir portre çekim havasında! Bir de asansördeki yansımalar var… Hızlı hareket eden camların arasında yakaladığım o anlar, sanki zamanın donduğu kareler gibi. Belki de “işe gidiş gelişlerin sanatsal yorumu” diyebilirim.
People: Names, Faces and Small Steps
The sweetest chaos of the first week is of course meeting new people! Dozens of names, similar office desks and the worry of "I wonder how many times I will say 'Can you repeat that?' today?"... 😅 But everyone's warm approach makes this process enjoyable. Slowly, conversations open up: A friend of mine, who learned about my photography curiosity during the tea break, even told me "where the best light is in the office"! It will take time to learn the names, but I can't wait for the intimacy to grow.
İnsanlar: İsimler, Yüzler ve Küçük Adımlar
İlk haftanın en tatlı karmaşası, tabii ki yeni insanlarla tanışmak! Onlarca isim, birbirine benzeyen ofis masaları ve “Acaba bugün kaçıncı kez ‘Tekrar eder misiniz?’ diyeceğim?” endişesi… 😅 Ama herkesin sıcak yaklaşımı, bu süreci keyifli kılıyor. Yavaş yavaş sohbetler açılıyor: Çay molasında fotoğraf merakımı öğrenen bir arkadaşım, “Ofiste en iyi ışığın nerede olduğunu” bile anlattı! İsimleri öğrenmek zaman alacak ama samimiyetin büyümesi için sabırsızlanıyorum.
What One Week Taught Me
- Scenery and Belonging: Seeing the stadium of your favorite team's rival every day is actually a beautiful metaphor for life. 😉 Sometimes the most unexpected sights can inspire you.
- The Art of Routines:** Ordinary elevator rides or morning mirror encounters can turn into works of art with the right angle and light.
- People Warm Up Over Time: Just like a photo frame becomes clearer, relationships flourish with patience.
Bir Hafta Neler Öğretti?
- Manzara ve Aidiyet: Sevdiğiniz bir takımın rakibinin stadını her gün görmek, aslında hayata dair güzel bir metafor. 😉 Bazen en beklenmedik manzaralar, size ilham verebilir.
- Rutinlerin Sanatı: Sıradan görünen asansör yolculukları veya sabah ayna karşılaşmaları, doğru açı ve ışıkla birer sanat eserine dönüşebilir.
- İnsanlar Zamanla Isınır: Tıpkı fotoğraf karesinin netleşmesi gibi, ilişkiler de sabırla güzelleşiyor.
And Then?
In the coming weeks, I plan to share more images from office life with you. Maybe a series of "minimalist details in the office", maybe portraits of coffee breaks... Also, as I meet my colleagues, I want to discover their photographic stories.
