Good day community

Once again from my beautiful city of Cáceres in Spain I offer you a tour of one of the most popular and well-known festivals in this country, the medieval market of Cáceres and its festival. These days the city is adorned with banners, motifs from the Middle Ages and the people who participate in this festivity adorn themselves with period costumes. Among the stones that surround the perimeter, the towers and battlements, the palaces of that time, Cáceres gives new life to a historical date that has marked its journey through time.

Seeing these images can explain why important period films and series such as Game of Thrones or some other scenes of this theme have been shot in this beautiful town. Strolling among the different stalls, seeing, buying or observing the thousand and one variety of handicrafts, food, typical regional products, fabrics, soaps, perfumes is a delight for the people who live this festivity. Feel surrounded by smells, according to areas of the old city, food stalls, motifs from other parts of the world that at some point in history were part of the culture of Cáceres, such as the Arab world.

Surprises occur in every corner of this great tour through the old streets, every nook and corner, every turn of the street becomes exciting. The infinity and variety contrast with a simple market and many of these objects that they sell are difficult to locate or normally see in common stores since they are crafts for this occasion.

At night is when you most enjoy a walk through this market, that particular day it threatened with rain that later did not appear. Following the route and seeing the infinity of colors, essences from other distant places, pickles, coffee, vanilla and delicious sweets make walking and enjoying yourself a breeze. The people at the stalls are really friendly and invite the people we walk by to try their delicious preparations, of course with the encouragement that you buy and take some of them with you.

I was on this tour from almost 7 in the afternoon until the early hours of the morning since here, at the merchandise and product stalls, this medieval festival does not end. Watching parades of m musicians through the streets, contrasts of people and also shows of fire, swords, falconry horses. It is not just a market but a great party that honors a historical era in the city of Cáceres, a World Heritage Site, located in the Autonomous Community of Extremadura, in Spain. I extend an invitation to all the people who wish to visit and enjoy this festival, the beautiful city and surroundings and its gastronomy, culture, history and art. @oscarps Fiesta en un juego de tronos.

Una vez más desde mi preciosa ciudad de Cáceres en España os traigo el recorrido por una de las fiestas más populares y conocidas en este país, el mercado medieval de Cáceres y su fiesta. La ciudad en estos días se engalana de estandartes, motivos de la edad media, las gentes que participan en esta festividad se engalanan con trajes de época. Entre las piedras que rodean el perímetro, las torres y almenas, los palacios de esa época Cáceres da de nuevo vida a una fecha histórica que ha marcado su caminar en el tiempo.

Viendo estas imágenes se puede explicar porque en esta hermosa villa se han rodado películas de época importantes y series como Juego de Tronos o algunas escenas de otras de esta temática. Pasear entre los diferentes puestos, ver, comprar u observar las mil y una variedad de artículos de artesanía, comida, productos típicos regionales, telas, jabones , perfumes es una delicia para las personas que vivan esta festividad. Sentirse rodeado entre olores, según en que zonas de la vieja ciudad, puestos de comida , motivos de otras partes del mundo que en algún momento de la historia formaban parte de la cultura cacereña como es el mundo árabe.

Las sorpresas se suceden en cada rincón de este genial recorrido a través de las viejas calles, cada rincón y esquina, cada vuelta de calle se convierte en apasionante. La infinidad y variedad contrastan con un simple mercadillo y muchos de estos objetos que venden es difícil de localizarlos o verlos normalmente en tiendas comunes, ya que son de artesanía para esta ocasión.
En la noche es cuando más se disfruta de un paseo por este mercado, ese día en concreto amenazo con una lluvia que luego no apareció. Seguir el recorrido y ver la infinidad de colores, esencias de otros lugares lejanos, encurtidos, cafés, vainillas y dulces deliciosos hacen que pasear e ir disfrutando sea coser y cantar. Las gentes de los puestos son realmente amables e invitan a las personas que paseamos a probar sus deliciosas elaboraciones, claro con el ánimo de que compres y lleves algunas de ellas.

En este recorrido estuve desde las 7 de la tarde que lo inicie hasta altas horas de la madrugada ya que aquí, en los puestos de mercancías y productos, no acaba esta fiesta medieval. Viendo pasacalles de músicos por las calles, contrastes de gentes y además espectáculos de fuego, espadas, caballos, cetrería. No se trata solo de un mercadillo sino de una gran fiesta que hace honor a una época histórica de la ciudad de Cáceres, patrimonio de la humanidad, situada en la comunidad Autónoma de Extremadura, en España. Extiendo una invitación a todas las personas que deseen visitar y disfrutar de esta fiesta, de la hermosa ciudad y alrededores y de su gastronomía, cultura, historia y arte. Querido @oscarps. Te cuento que acá en Buenos Aires ya he estado en una de esas Ferias Medievales, (Así la llaman acá). Y me encantan. Cuando ellos vienen, yo aprovecho de comprarles queso artesanal, cerveza, un tipo de salchichón que preparan, que es superrico, unos panes y unos dulces, que ni te cuento. Te voy a enviar una foto que le tomé a una chica vestida de reina en su trono. Es hermoso. Ese día había mucho sol, por cierto. Espero te guste. Saludos, amigo.
