Last week, we spent a day with my family in the village, 100 km from where we live. The village is a village where my wife's family is rooted. This is a village in the Şabanözü district of Çankırı, one of the neighboring provinces to the north of Ankara, and its name is Mart village. The name of the village means the month of March. Due to the harsh winter months, this name was given 800 years ago. As you can see, the village has a very long history.
The family immigrated from here about forty years ago and settled in Ankara and continued their lives in Ankara. For this reason, my wife was also born in Ankara. The family's house in the village was destroyed in a previous earthquake and it took a long time for them to build a new one.
Six months before the start of the global pandemic, the family had a small vineyard house built with great efforts and their own means. The vineyard house is in a quiet place outside the center of the village. There is a big house and a container club around it and nothing else. Photos are from around the house. Since the land is flat and steppe, there is no forest area, but with the greening of barley and wheat grains planted in the soil in spring, all the plains look lush. This blank green image evokes indescribable feelings. It's even eye-opening!
We try to go to this vineyard house in the village every now and then. Because this place allows us to get out of the city and breathe in quality, and it also causes us to spend time in silence. In fact, on the first day we went, we even got a headache due to too much oxygen. Unfortunately we are not used to it in the city. :)
As you can see in the photos, the roads around the vineyard house are stabilized and neglected. Tractor-style vehicles usually pass through here. On the other hand, walking on these roads is another great pleasure. As I just said, it's a really quiet place. Cars etc. for a very long time. A vehicle does not come out. There are also fields and gardens around the house. Barley and wheat are generally cultivated here. Most of the green you see is made up of barley and wheat. There are also a few fruit and vegetable gardens. Cherry, apricot, watermelon, melon, plum, peach, grape, tomato, cucumber, pepper, eggplant, corn, etc. vegetables and fruits are grown. My wife's family also grows a small amount of fruit and vegetables here. The natural vegetables produced here also meet our great food needs during the summer months. Even tomatoes, peppers, etc. We dry vegetables and consume them even in winter.
In short, a tiny village house and garden gives us the chance to be in touch with nature and to consume the natural. Happy are those who have such opportunities! For those who do not have the opportunity, I recommend that they often escape into nature. See you again, goodbye.

Geçtiğimiz hafta içerisinde ailemle birlikte bir günümüzü yaşadığımız yere 100 km mesafedeki köyde geçirdik. Köy, eşimin ailesinin köklerinin bağlı olduğu bir köy. Burası Ankara'nın kuzeyindeki komşu illerden Çankırı'nın Şabanözü ilçesine bağlı bir köy, ismi de Mart köyü. Köyün ismi mart ayı anlamına geliyor. Kış aylarının sert olması sebebiyle bu isim 800 yıl önce verilmiş. Anlayacağınız o ki, köyün çok uzun bir geçmişi var.
Aile yaklaşık kırk yıl önce buradan göç ederek Ankara'ya yerleşmiş ve hayatlarını Ankara'da devam ettirmişler. Bu sebeple eşim de Ankara'da doğmuş. Ailenin köydeki evi daha önceki bir depremde yıkılmış ve yenisini yapmaları bir hayli zaman almış.
Küresel pandeminin başlamasından altı ay önce aile büyük çabalarla ve kendi imkanlarıyla küçük bir bağ evi yaptırdı. Bağ evi köyün merkezinin dışında sessiz sedasız bir yerde. Çevresinde bir büyük ev, bir de konteynır klube var ve bunun dışında hiçbir şey yok. Fotoğraflar da evin çevresinden. Arazi düz ve bozkır olduğu için orman alanı yok fakat bahar aylarında toprağa ekilen arpa ve buğday tanelerinin yeşermesiyle birlikte bütün düzlükler yemyeşil görünüyor. Bu boşluklu yeşil görüntü insanda tarif edilemez hisler uyandırıyor. Hatta ufuk açıcı!
Köydeki bu bağ evine arasıra da olsa vakit buldukça gitmeye çalışıyoruz. Çünkü burası hem şehrin içinden sıyrılıp kaliteli nefes almamıza olanak sağlıyor hem de sukünet içerisinde vakit geçirmemize sebep oluyor. Hatta gittiğimiz ilk gün fazla oksijenden ötürü başımız bile ağrıyor. Şehirde maalesef alışkın değiliz. :)
Fotoğraflarda da göreceğiniz üzere bağ evinin çevresindeki yollar stabilize ve bakımsız yollar. Buralardan genelde traktör tarzı araçlar geçiyor. Öte taraftan bu yollarda yürüyüş yapmak da bir başka büyük keyif. Az önce dediğim gibi gerçekten sakin bir yer. Çok uzun süre karşınıza otomobil vb. bir araç çıkmıyor. Evin etrafında tarlalar ve bahçeler de var. Buralarda genelde arpa ve buğday ekiliyor. Gördüğünüz yeşilin çoğunu da arpa ve buğday oluşturuyor. Bunun dışında az da olsa meyve ve sebze bahçeleri de var. Kiraz, kayısı, karpuz, kavun, erik, şeftali, üzüm, domates, salatalık, biber, patlıcan, mısır, vb. sebze ve meyveler yetiştiriliyor. Eşimin ailesi de az miktarda meyve ve sebze yetiştiriciliği yapıyor burada. Burada üretilen doğal sebzeler, yaz aylarında oldukça büyük yiyecek ihtiyaçlarımızı da görüyor. Hatta domates, biber, vb. sebzeleri kurutup kış aylarında bile tüketiyoruz.
Sözün özü, küçücük bir köy evi ve bahçesi bize hem doğayla içiçe olma hem de doğal olanı tüketme şansı veriyor. Böyle fırsatları olanlara ne mutlu! Fırsatı olmayanlar için de sık sık doğaya kaçmalarını öneriyorum. Tekrar görüşmek üzere, hoşçakalın.
