Portulaca grandiflora or nine o'clock flowers are very beautiful when seen from a distance or up close, why? This is because of the influence of the color it has, the color that radiates from it makes one's eyes sucked automatically so the effect of the color also makes me want to capture it and then I upload it in this post.
Did you know that it has many species, as far as I can remember, it has 100 species found in Indonesia's own territory.
However, in my yard there are only a few species, among the species that I have only one I like the most, namely the species I have talked about above and the picture is also in this post.
If we read the history of the source or basis it originated so that it was in the territory of Indonesia, it turns out that this plant originated from Latin America, so that many names are also mentioned in that language.
Lately in our area, especially mothers, are very enthusiastic in cultivating ornamental plants, mothers in each region adopt various types of plants that used to live in the forest, now they are planted in flower pots and then placed in front of a house which are considered as decorations.
The nine o'clock flower that was once considered a weed by everyone has now changed its status back to an ornamental plant that is cared for and preserved and loved like a new plant that has just been labeled as an ornamental plant.
It differs in our area in the mention for each species of plants at flower nine o'clock, generally referred to as Purslane flowers, if it is yellow then it is called yellow Purslane as well as other colors, it will be mentioned according to the character of the flower itself.

However, most in every region that is within the territory of Indonesia itself mentions the local language, of course, in non-verbal language, if you look closely it turns out that in Indonesia itself has 33 names given in their respective regional languages.
When viewed from a language perspective, it turns out that Portulaca grandiflora is very popular with lovers, especially women, this happens based on the assumptions that have been explained previously.
If it is an ornamental plant, then why is it considered a weed?
This often occurs in Indonesian territory itself, this is due to the influence of its rapid and rapid development as well as its growth in vacant lands or untreated locations. If planted in empty land, it will continue to grow in an empty location, so that it is assumed as an assumption or is often considered as a weed.
Although some people think like that, it turns out that Purslane flowers have a myriad of benefits for the health of the human body. Based on personal experience, it is often seen that every mother uses this plant flower as a medicine for wounds that are outside the body, by plucking it, then squeezing it out and then attaching it to each wound.
In addition, it also has its own advantages in terms of shape and color, so that it complements its perfection in terms of:

Portulaca grandiflora or Purslane does not have side effects that can harm humans if taken correctly and regularly, but how to mix it must be based on scientifically recognized science and herbs.
However, I myself also saw some people around us take a handful of young flowers and stems, or take 15-30 grams of flowers and leaves, then boil them with a few cc of water until it boils, if the water was originally 2 glasses then after boiling the remaining one glass, the water that has been boiled then cooled is ready for consumption.
