A relaxing Sunday bird post...

...and not every day that you will see some weird shots in here.

We had this little Southern Double-collared Sunbird (Cinnyris chalybeus) on the water bottle.

But don't miss the next 4 photos as they are simply amazing, and I have never seen it before on the same water bottle.

We hope that all of you have had a good weekend thus far, and that you are recharged for the impending blue Monday. Maybe I will do a Blue Monday post tomorrow, but for now, I don't want to spoil this Sunday, as it is a day of rest. Some people will have off, as Monday will be a public holiday, and we hope that many of you will also have a public holiday.

Four times it landed, and every time without drinking, it did the same thing. It is a Cape White Eye (Zosterops virens). Maybe instead of drinking water, it rather fluffed its body to drink in the sunlight.

Even gave me a look here and I wondered at what it was doing.

Like I said, every time that it landed, it did this.

What a little beauty, and I will try to find out why they do this.

And now to round the post off with some more sunbird shots.

I love the shiny colors of this bird.

Iridescent colors as they say.

It even stretched and posed for a selfie here below.

And then finally, it gave me the eye, as it was waiting for me to come and show it the shot of his selfie on my camera. Lol

And so, I decided to keep this post easy, and I am sure that you will not have to use too much brain work to figure out what the white eye bird was doing. I was just glad to get it on camera, as I have taken many photos of it over time, but this time was totally different, as normally they just sit on the water bottle to drink. Same as the sunbird in the first photo, and the white eyes are even smaller than the sunbirds.
Nature often plays her tricks on me but let me tell you that I enjoy it.
Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

Nice set up to capture the bird life, both equally beautiful with superb captures!

Thank you for the compliment, Lady Joan. !LOL

both are equally interesting to look at. the first bird's eye circles are very beautiful, like rings.

Oh yes, and the White-eye in the bird's name lays the emphasis on the white rings.

The bird looks very spoiled and very smart. I really like birds. That's so cool my friend. 🤗
