A road trip teaser.

Oh yes, we were on our way somewhere, and I will share a bit of the trip here.

This is one of the famous coastal drives in the Western Cape Province.

Now don't worry, as I will show you our destination in another post, but this road is just too great not to show you. There are many mountain passes in the Western Cape province, and this one qualifies as a mountain pass, and a coastal road. Wide open seas at the one side and high mountain peaks on the other side of the road. Things can get a bit dicey whenever some of the rocks of the mountain peaks tumble down, and I kept a wary eye as we travelled along. This road runs for many kilometers right next to the sea, and the views are so many that it cannot all be shown in one post.
Come and look.

That is the view from the pass, as we left our town that is on the far bank that you can see.

And this is one of the scarce beaches along the road.

Did I tell you that there are high mountain peaks above the ocean? And our road passes along the shore.

The road is also full of bends, and one has to drive carefully.

That cloud strip lit up the ocean surface as the sun hit it from above.

We made a quick stop here to look at some paintings that an artist was selling, and we also grabbed a cup of coffee.

While there, I walked to the edge of the road and looked far down at the rocks.

Saw this guy sitting and minding his own business.

I want to show you what we saw as we rounded that last bend.

The famous Hang Klip, that one can see for many miles away, had a cloud hat on, with the coastal town of Rooi Els below, and it was a stunning sight.

That's it for this post, and I really took lots of photos along the way. I will be sure to show you, sometime, more of the other photos that I took along the way. It is a very scenic road, blending high mountains with the ocean. There are also several small coastal towns along the way, and our destination was one of those small towns. They have a very interesting nature reserve near the town, and we stopped to visit the nature reserve.
It was also a special day, as after the breakfast that we had on my wife's birthday, we decided to travel along the Clarence Drive to the nature reserve.

We both love nature, and we are so glad that there are so many nature reserves in the Western Cape, each with its own fauna and flora, and wildlife. We recently read a story about a nature reserve that breeds the endangered zebra species, and I was surprised to read that there are actually 3 different types of zebras in the land. Just to give you an idea of what can be found on the reserves. Until then, I will show you more about this trip in the meantime.

I hope that you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.

These pictures you shared are really beautiful, great photography.

The view is beautiful especially the beach above the mountain. Everything is looking all blue even the sky

These are the kind of trips that are very enjoyable, with a spectacular environment to appreciate every meter of that road and also to take pictures of those landscapes. Greetings !

It was a wonderful drive, and the return trip was just as beautiful. One can never get bored on a trip like that, as there is too much to see.

Breathtakingly beautiful scenic views you have that’s a wonderful and amazing adventurous experience to explore. Keep posting like that . It is very nice . The blue waters and blue skies make it look so much cool. I love to see a bird 🦜 on the top of rocks 🪨 the high mountains peak gives you a relaxing energy have and so very amazing to go that kind of surroundings.

Thank you for your appreciation of the post, and I am very happy that you enjoyed the views. The Western Cape Province is renowned for its natural beauty, and the towering peaks of its mountains. The ocean also enhances the beauty.
