But first I will show you some other sights on the pond.
Many don't like spiders, but they form an important task in nature's eco-system, as I will show you later in the post.
Every spring season, this particular type of damselflies views this pond as their territory. They will chase any other kinds of dragonflies that come to this pond. So, even the smallest of Odonata can act like the biggest by fighting for territory. Odonata is the general term for damselflies and dragonflies. I also have some other interesting views in this to share with you, so please read until the end of the post.
First up, I have a Brown-veined White butterfly (Belenois aurota).
Then this is a Red-veined Dropwing Dragonfly (Trithemis arteriosa).
Just a honeybee on some flowers.
A breeding pair of damselflies below.
The specie is called a Cherry-eye Sprite (Pseudagrion sublacteum). I don't know if that green figure below the leaf tip was another spider lying in wait to trap a damselfly.
Another Red-veined dragonfly.
Now here's a turnup for the books, as the spiders eat the damselflies, and the fish in the pond eat the spiders. But mankind takes it one step further, as fly fishermen fashion their bait to look like spiders.
Finally, if I was a damselfly, I would avoid that pond at all costs :))
Life goes on, as they say, and even for the insects like damselflies, life goes on. Nature is a great teacher in so many aspects of our human lives. Sadly, many ignore nature, but they do not know what they are missing. Nature has the habit to grow on one and the more visits to it, the better one can start to understand things. Always take a bit of a deeper look and much will be revealed to one. The trouble that we are in currently with the strange weather patterns, is largely due to our disrespect of nature. The more trees that we cut down, the more toxic air can rise into the atmosphere, as nature is a filter. Rivers are the arteries that run into the ocean, and if we contaminate the rivers then the fish life in the oceans will be become poisoned. We believe in the saying, leave only your footsteps behind and take only your memories with you every time that you come out of nature.
That's it folks.
I hope you have enjoyed the pictures and story.

Another nice capture
Nature always shows us about a beautiful atmosphere with the presence of little angels playing on the leaves, you get some very beautiful types of insects today.
I love the way that you describe them as little angels playing on the leaves. Glad that liked the insect photos.
