Some early morning sights and then the amazing changes later. Filled with beauty of a different kind.
Amazing how quickly things can change around here.
A happy Easter Weekend to all and we are very thankful for a wet day. I have some mood changing pictures in here today, that I am sure you will like. We are beings of light, drawn naturally to warm sunlight and clear blue skies, but the animals show us that life goes on even at the darker times. I have not told you that a posse of 3 young squirrels appeared here four days ago, and it seems that they declared our garden as their own territory, as they are here every day now.
But let me show you our trip to the shop this morning.
This was my first early morning photo of a soft sky as we prepared to leave.
I saw this little Cape White-eye taking a drink in our front garden.
Subtly the sky started to change as we drove out on our way to a shop.
This was the view on the road, taken from our car towards the north.
And on our way back this valley in the east caught my attention.
Look how the view of that mountain in the north has changed.
Back home now and from our study window, I got this wet little one standing behind the flowerpot lattice.
Yep, I waited as I knew that he would come inside for a nut.
I tried to get some rain drops in the picture of doves sitting on a streetlamp across the road.
The doves knew that it would only be soft rain, so they used the opportunity for a bath.
And they were right, as the rain was no harder than this.
So, if you want to know what's going to happen weatherwise, simply keep an eye on the birds. If they all disappear, then you will know that it will be heavy downpours and if they continue to stay around, then it will only be soft fairy rain.
The squirrels here also continue to have fun in the soft rain, as they continue to chase each other around and I am convinced that they are trying to beat each other with the speed that they jump clear through the wet lattices of the flowerpots. At other times they play hide and seek, and I wonder if that's how we learned to play the game centuries ago.
I will soon do a post to show you our new squirrel family and until then, I hope that you enjoyed today's story and the pictures.
And That's All Friends.

I love that simplicity but unmatched perfection in the things around us.
Thank you and they say that simplicity is always a form of genius.
