RE: The tough side of life.

You seem to have a tendency to bring the subject up again and let's hope that it will not become real Hannes ๐Ÿ˜ฎ !LOLZ

Hahaha, phone photography is also not very conducive for me, as the damn thing feels like a toy. A heavy camera sits well in the hand for free hand shooting and with a phone, even your short fingers get in the way ๐Ÿคฃ

Hopefully Hive will moon, as then you can buy one of the most expensive Canon cameras. I don't think that mine will last for 8 years, as it is already showing some niggles. Every 3rd photo that I take is blurred ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Cheers and thanks.

Haha, I don't think so, because I don't want to use gondolas to get up to the mountains ๐Ÿ˜… !LOLZ

I like the phone for quick snap shots or short videos of a situation, but for real photos I don't use the phone ... maybe when I'm old and get lost I can send a photo to the rescue team to show them where I am ๐Ÿคฃ

Actually, I don't need the most expensive cameras, because I love the one I have. There's only one thing I wished my camera would be able to do: focus stacking in camera when I make complicated macro or landscape shots. Of course, I can do it by hand, but telling the camera to make 100 shots would be so much easier ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hm, the autofocus in your camera seems not to work properly sometimes. Maybe it's just a weak battery or the lens is dirty or fogged up, but I have no idea to be honest.

Just a bit of tease ๐Ÿ˜› !LOLZ

Get lost? You? Never, as I have never heard that a mountain goat can get lost. I think the only reason to get lost might be if there is a young good looking female mountain goat around. And in that case you wouldn't want to have a phone with you ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

My camera can stack if I hold the click down, but it's difficult to do with flying birds, as at the same time I have to swing the camera and control the zoom. But it does it perfectly with static items.
Such as photos like this.

They were too high up for my camera's video and I would need 3 right hands to try and stack photos of their flight. A crow was attacking a buzzard.

I remember that with my previous camera, the now retired SX60HS, the colors of the photos also blurred and then after a while the photos turned blank. I sent it in for repairs and they replaced the diodes or something like that at the cost of a car ๐Ÿ˜‰

Cheers and thanks.

Hihi !LOLZ you have no idea how many times I got lost because I thought a path would lead to the right place ๐Ÿ˜‚ but in the end I have always found the right way ... sometimes hours later though ๐Ÿ˜…

I understand - this is called something like continuous focusing or so, but by focus stacking I mean something different: the camera takes several images from one scene, each fucused on another area (e.g. foreground, midground, background). So, when you take a macro, you take 10 or many more images of the same thing or insect. These images are then combined by software to get one image that's sharp from front to back. Doing this by hand I always forget something, but when you can tell the camera to take 50 photos for a focus stack, it would be a lot easier. But in reality I don't really want to spend such a lot of money for just one function / for being just lazy ๐Ÿ˜‰

One day I'll also try to take photos of birds in flight again - cool image ๐Ÿ‘

Nowadays the things are not built to last. Many electronics work just as long as their warranty lasts.

Maybe some time later, but you have always found the way, simply because you have mountain goat blood running in your veins ๐Ÿ˜› !LOLZ

To tell you the truth, I have no idea about the stacking method that you are talking about and as usual, you are way more advanced in these things than I am. Why would I want to take 10 or more shots of the same image, if one or two will do. Somedays I don't even get a chance to take a second shot. So no, these things are way out of my mind.
I mean, look at this and I didn't get a chance for a second shot. What still to worry about the background and the foreground. No time.

I was standing in the midground when I took the shot ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

Yep! Nowadays they make sure that whatever you buy will not last, so that they can get more sales.
They call it the toilet roll syndrome as toilet paper never lasts ๐Ÿ˜›

Cheers and thanks.

I think I would only be too embarrassed to call for help, so I always try to find my way out of such situations ๐Ÿ˜‚ !LOLZ

For landscape photography you sometimes take a sharp image of the foreground and another sharp image of the background which you combine to one sharp image, but for macros you need many more images.I know you will not need it, but here's a better explanation than mine: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Focus_stacking

Of course, for birds in flight you don't need focus stacking, but you might take several shots and select the best one at home ๐Ÿ˜‰

Toilet roll syndrome? Never heard, but it suits, I believe ๐Ÿ˜€

I cannot see you in my minds eye walking around and shouting; Help! Help! Help! You would rather go and help someone else when they shout like that ๐Ÿ˜‰ !LOLZ

Nope! Not for me as you know that I am allergic to IT stuff and all that I know is how to post. I take the foreground and the background in one simple shot and that's it. End of story, as if I have to sit and fiddle with additional programs on a photo, I can guarantee you that I will either lose, or wreck the photo ๐Ÿคฃ

Now you are talking as 3 shots and the selection of the best one works for me. Unless at times that I can only get one shot, then I simply post it. I have less worries with my way ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thaink about it. A toilet roll never lasts and I forever see people coming out of shopping centers with packs of toilet rolls. So, the thought was transferred to the appliance and camera makers, to create their stuff as flimsy as possible in order to create more sales ๐Ÿ˜‰

Cheers and thanks.

If the person is as stupid as me I would certainly help her ... or him ๐Ÿ˜… !LOLZ

I know what you mean, and I also don't like to sit at the computer too long. That's why I don't take as many photos anymore as I have taken a year ago.

I think the electronics all have a little chip inside that destroys that thing after a pre-defined time ๐Ÿ˜‰
