Wow! We never see 15C early in the mornings. The action starts from around 10am and by 2pm it is difficult to breathe. So what then is your temp in the afternoon?

We've had a few colder days and a lot of rain, many floodings, many damages. The temperatures didn't go much over 20C during the day, but now the sun is shining again and the temperatures during the day are at about 25C or more - it's hot again 😅 and 52C would be a little bit toooooo hot for us 😏
The lower areas god flooded and there have been many mudflows which have destroyed quite some houses and cars and much more.
We have had a lot of fun and will have such a family meeting soon again.
The next weeks will be very busy in the office, but in the first week of September we'll be on holidays in Croatia and in the week after my holidays I have a training at the lake Traunsee in Upper Austria. I hope the training will not be too boring and useful for my work.

We saw a terrible video yesterday about the floods in Austria and Slovenia and the severe damages that it entailed. So glad that you guys are not near it Hannes, and the repairs are going to cost a mountain of money. Maybe they will declare a state of emergency, like we do over here.

The holiday in Croatia sounds okay and I only hope that the area will not come under Russian attack.
The training in Upper Austria I cannot understand, as you only have a few years left. They should rather send your co-workers, as they will have to take over once that you are gone 😮

It was really bad, but slowly everything's going back to normality, at least in most places. People are insured and get additional help from the government and other organisations. I think it's similar in Slovenia.
We have had bad weather before, and we have mad mudslides and floodings, but in the past few years it has become worse and worse ... Mother Nature is telling us something, she's warning us again and again.
Yep, my brother with his wife, my sister with her husband, and my parents have been there. It was great to be together again and hopefully we'll have such a meeting again soon.
Wladimir has enough to do in the Ukraine and no time to disturb our holidays 😉
The training is because of our apprentice. We haven't had an apprentice in our department yet, and so there are things to learn how to handle it. I will be responsible for the girl and it's mostly on me to turn her into a good and valuable employee who wants to stay with us after the apprenticeship. It's only a 4 days training and it's at a lake that's surrounded by mountains ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traunsee ) ... I have my camera with me, of course 😀

Yes, I read about it and they said that the weather onslaughts were becoming worse. Now you can see what we also have here and it is said that we will have the El Nino effect here this summer. It means that we are in for higher temperatures, and no rain in the summer rainfall areas, which means drought. Never a happy thought 😥
Glad to see that you and your brother have re-united as it is always a good thing and now the family is complete again. So you were two boys and a girl. We were two girls and a boy and only the boy is left as the two sisters died. Such is life 😉
Ah! I forget, the war is in Ukraine and not in Croatia. Old age does that to one 😛
The best is for you to get a cheap recorder. Then the apprentice can record the training meetings and you can go into the mountains with your camera. The bonus is that when you get back home, you can sit and do 5 hive posts while you sit and listen to the recordings 😮👍😃😇

The climate is definitely changing and I think we'll have to become used of strange weather.
Actually there were two girls, but our eldest sister has gone a couple of years ago.
I would love to follow your suggestion, but the good thing is that although I will we responsible for her, my colleagues will also train her and I'll hopefully have some time for myself 😁

Ah yes, I forget so it was two boys and two girls. One just has to get used to family members falling away and at my age they are all gone. Only good memories remain.
