But for some reason they don't like banana or mango fruits.
Ah! Life was good for this little one having a go at a delicious avocado peel.
Marian leaves a layer of avo on the skins for the squirrels and a few of them really enjoy eating it. Others don't as they prefer nuts.
So, just like us humans there are differences in taste between the animals.
Maybe they also think differently, but I don't think our thoughts of hatred or regret are in their minds. Like us, they can also get angry and some of them like to fight, yet others are peaceful and some are even timid. They also have bullies and flirty ladies.
Makes one think, doesn't it?
After the avo feast a squirrel get's thirsty and this one jumped up onto the birdbath, scattering the doves that were on the bath.
Finally, a lovely cool and fresh mountain water drink.
That is it and it is the way that our squirrels operate around here. They have breakfast and then chase each other around in the tops of the trees all day, and then they arrive again for dinner. Oh, and be ready for them otherwise they climb all over the windows reminding us that they wanted to eat. We would wash the windows spotlessly clean, then it rains, and then after the rain the windows all have muddy squirrel footprints all over them. But it was a pleasure to have them around and we were all like one big family, although they were all wild.
I have taken the photos from my files as all of this was at the old house that we left two weeks ago.
