Have you ever seen a white squirrel?
The gardener at Imibala took the 4 photos below through a window with his mobile phone, and the CEO sent them to us.
An Albino Squirrel! Now I have the gardener on high alert to call me if he sees it again, and I only hope that it will return.
So, we did a bit of research on the albino squirrel, and my wife found this.
According to the website, the odds of seeing an albino squirrel (with the red eyes as pictured), like I did, are 100 000 to one. Ironically enough, a white or albino squirrel has no real benefit from its unique coat. In nature, their bright white colour actually makes them easier to hunt by predators like hawks. Whereas conventionally coloured squirrels have an element of camouflage to their brown coats.
No, I have never seen one and I knew going to search for it would be futile. They reckon that if you see one, then luck is coming your way, and I don't know if the gardener plays the local Lotto, as he might turn up to win and become a millionaire :))
Only joking, as I don't believe in luck, but who knows, I might be surprised.
A real beauty isn't it?
Two photos below of the Imibala garden that I took on a previous visit.
And finally, I leave you with a rainbow effect created by this water sprayer.
The Imibala Trust is a local non-profit that Papillon partners with in some upliftment projects, and they do wonderful work with the children. Some of my friends on hive have visited the Imibala centers, and they can attest to the great work of the organization. Now if luck does indeed exist, then I wish that the luck brought along with the sighting of the albino squirrel was meant for everyone at Imibala.
May it be like such.
If you want to see more of Imibala's work with the children, then I invite you have a look at their website HERE
A happy Monday to all and we hope that your new week will be great.

I saw a white squirrel for the first time. Squirrels with stripes on their backs are called squirrels in the photo you call white squirrels, I doubt what they are called... hahaha @papilloncharity
Glad that I could show it to you, and all squirrel species have names that identifies them.
Here's a photo that I took today of a Grey squirrel in our front garden.

Haven't seen this species of albino squirrel
Also a first time for me to see one :))
It would be such an unforgettable sight

Sadly, we have no ferrets here, and you are lucky to have them :)
Nope, the treats will draw birds and they will eat all of the tomatoes plus the treats. I have a hard time here at home to keep the birds away.

Really nature is amazing. I don't even know that white squirrel exist😅
Nature cis indeed amazing, and it has so much to show us every day. It was also my first to see a white squirrel, as we are used to seeing only the normal squirrels.

I often see them every time I go into the union they climb the trees so fast and are so beautiful I didn't know much about them before your post It is known after.
Oh yes, squirrels are agile and very fast. Glad that you now know them better.

Yeah you are right.
We see many almost white squirrels here in Montreal. There are several dirty blondes that run around. They get so much attention that they are super friendly knowing they will be first to get fed. Because of these blondes, people would not think it's so strange to see an albino. I have seen the odd very white, but not albino ones. They are very intriguing indeed.
Wow! First time that I see a dirty blonde, as we don't have them here. I think that the albino's are scarce in many countries. May it's the snow that has an effect on their colors, as we don't get much snow here.
