Poprzednio mój mały spacer po Gdańsku odbywał się drogą wodną. Tym razem korzystając z chwili wolnego, wybrałem się na bardziej tradycyjną przechadzkę. Do spaceru przekonała mnie pogoda, która była klasycznym przykładem tego co można doświadczać w tym mieście - wszystkie pory roku w jedno popołudnie.

Previously, my little walk around Gdansk was done by boat. This time, using my free time, I went for a more traditional walk. The weather was a classic example of what you can experience in this city - all seasons in one afternoon.

Widoczne blokowiska na Przymorzu mniej więcej są tak samo rozległe jak leżące opodal morze. Wybudowane za czasów ustroju komunistycznego charakterystyczne Falowce. Najdłuższy z nich ma 860 metrów i mieści 3400 osób.

The visible blocks of flats in "Przymorze" are as large as the sea nearby. Built during the communist regime, they are characteristic "Falowce". The longest of them has 860 meters and accommodates 3400 people.

Obok mojego miejsca zamieszkania jest dość rozległy park, który stanowi perfekcyjne miejsce na chwile wytchnienia w codziennym pędzie. Jedne z ostatnich chwil słonecznej pogody pomagają naładować się witaminką D przed nadchodzącą zimą.

There is a large park next to where I live. The view of trees and grass provides the perfect place for moments of rest in the daily rush. Some of the last moments of sunny weather help to recharge with vitamin D before the coming winter.

W ciągu kilkunastu minut pogoda z deszczowej zrobiła się bardzo słoneczna. Niestety nie jest tu tak często. Jesień i zima w Gdańsku polega głównie na oglądaniu zachmurzonego nieba, chodzenia w deszczu lub pośniegowym błocie.

The weather went from rainy to very sunny in a matter of minutes. Unfortunately, it is not so often here. Autumn and winter in Gdansk consist mainly of watching cloudy skies, walking in rain or slush.

Wychodząc na spacer zawsze warto spędzić chwilę nad brzegiem morza. Daje ono poczucie psychicznego odpoczynku, który jest nam niezbędny do zdrowego funkcjonowania. Natomiast po wydłużonym spacerze, czas na drobną przekąskę by uzupełnić nadszarpnięty bilans kaloryczny.

When going out for a walk, it is always a good idea to spend a moment by the seashore. It gives a sense of mental rest, which is essential for our healthy functioning. However, after an extended walk, it is time for a small snack to replenish the damaged caloric balance.
