I live in a small house that is just 5 minutes walk from the beach, in the city of Florianópolis.
Florianópolis is the capital of the state of Santa Catarina in southern Brazil.
Although it is a capital city, the city is located on an island very close to the mainland and has many parts of the island that are wild.
My neighborhood is such a place and there are local fauna and flora conservation park called Park of the Dunes.
This beach is very long and has 2 names, in the south part it is called Campeche Beach, and in the north part, it becomes known as Joaquina Beach.
On this day we walked towards Campeche, moving away from the Dunes and approaching a more inhabited area, with new buildings, known as Novo Campeche.
As it is more populous, there is this Life Saver post that protects bathers.
The sea here is very dangerous, and eventually, very big waves reach the coast, making the place a paradise for surfers, but risky for unsuspecting tourists who are going to swim.
The sun rises on the sea but sets towards the center of the island, usually behind some hills, but from this angle, he is lying behind the buildings.
We can see the shadowed silhouette of a couple leaving.
The sun is gone and it starts to get dark...
but the fun of the young people continues a little more before we go...
