Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!
As you might already know from some of my previous posts, I have been lately working on a special photo collection dedicated to Christmas lights and decorations that can be currently admired in the beautiful Polish city of Krakow and today, I am excited to show you the results of my work.
As far as the locations are concerned, I have been mostly shooting in the historic center of the city, in the old Jewish neighborhood of Kazimierz and around the famous Wawel Castle but there are also pictures from other parts of the city. I have made several separate photo shooting trips around the city on different days, which is also why some photos feature snow or fog while others not. You might notice some differences in the colors of the sky too (winter sky actually comes with a variety of hues and tones here in Central Europe).
If you are a regular visitor to my blog, you probably know that I don´t own a real camera and I shoot just with my cell phone. Cell phone cameras usually struggle quite bad when taking photos at night and my old Xiaomi is not an exception, unfortunately, so please excuse the quality of some of the following shots. However, I believe these pictures will be still enjoyable, allowing you to soak up the very special atmosphere of the upcoming Christmas :)
I hope you enjoyed this special photo collection that I compiled to show you the beauty and magical vibes of Krakow in the Advent Season.
I know many people around the world cannot even leave their homes now because of the lockdowns and other anti-pandemic measures and I was actually thinking of them too when working on this collection. I also wanted it to be a kind of a virtual tour around lit up streets and beautiful Christmas decorations for those who cannot go out and enjoy the real vibes of this season for themselves.
Those who can are welcome in my special photo challenge where anyone can share photos of Christmas lights in their own hometowns. Let´s spread a bit of the unique peaceful atmosphere of Christmas in our community together ;)
Merry Christmas everyone!

Thnks for sharing what Krakow looks like now with all it's Christmas decorations up.
My pleasure, thanks for checking it out ;)
Great captures of Christmas spirit in Krakow. I really like these night photos. I was on Chirtmas lights in Ljubljana just once this year, but hopefully I will go again and do some clicks myself, but doubt they will be as nice as yours.
Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for your kind feedback and support Andy! I would love to see some similar shots from other places (that´s also why I decided to host that special photo challenge) and I am sure you would take amazing pictures in your capital city ;) When taking night photos, the quality of the camera really makes a difference so while my struggled, yours would be still doing just fine ;)
Beautiful blog you have, here you have a new follower. The Christmas photographs are incredible, as I hope that Christmas spirit returns to my country.
Thanks for your nice words and for the follow, what a nice surprise :) Saludos y Feliz Navidad!
Feliz navidad 😀
The photos you take are very good, they show the Christmas spirit in the street. It's nice to see the streets decorated and illuminated.
Thank you, that was exactly the purpose of this collection - to convey the Christmas spirit from the Krakow streets to the readers´ homes, no matter where they live :)
I love giant ornaments! Some nice festive shots, the galleria looks well decorated, the old church behind the angel looks neat as well! I didn't really go around looking at Christmas lights here yet. We are on lockdown lite (no gatherings) so all of our usual festive events are cancelled. Thanks for sharing and Merry Christmas!
Thank you! Well, traditionally, Krakow is home to some of the most famous and visited Christmas markets in Europe but they were cancelled too this year so walking around the streets and admiring the beautiful lights and decorations is pretty much the only Christmas outdoor activity we can do here.
Merry Christmas to you guys in Canada as well! :)
oh my god it's so beautiful the colorful flickering of the lights, I really want to see it in person, maybe one day
Thank you, I am really glad you enjoyed the photo collection :)
Christmas is just around the corner and I can feel the festive atmosphere through your pictures 😆 Lots of Lights and Decoration there 😉 I don't see it much here in my town.
Well it probably is because Buddhism is the prevailing religion in your country, right? It was a pleasure to take you on this little Christmas tour through the photos at least ;)
The pictures looks beutyfull
Thank you :)

Oh nice one, thanks for the share. I have yet to our Christmas spot in my city but the wife and I will do it soon. Hope all is well, take care.
Thanks man, looking forward to checking out what the Christmas vibes feel like in your town :)
Wesolych Swiat! :) So you have the same street decoration (the peacock feathers) in Wroclaw too? I really wish to visit your city as well. There is actually one extra reason for that - football fans of WKS have a long zgoda with fans from my Czech hometown :D
Wow, sorry, I didn´t know there is a city called Inowroclaw, I only knew Wroclaw :D
