BETWEEN THE STREET AND THE SEA..

in Photography Lovers6 months ago

Hi...Dear Photography lovers!

In the last few days I made several posts about the photo safari we did in the coastal community of Playa Baracoa. In this event I was part of the organizing team. It was the sixth edition but the first time that I participated in my condition of Visual Arts Instructor of the Casa de la Cultura Comunitaria. I had the mission of being a guide and accompanying the photographers in their safari through our community.

Even though I was doing the official Safari photographic registration, I didn't miss the opportunity to take my creative photos as a participant. Photography is something that I have been dabbling in frequently lately after having a cell phone with a camera with acceptable camera properties.

Because Playa Baracoa is a coastal community, the sea makes its presence felt in every moment of the lives of its inhabitants. And I love that, because I usually come to the coast to photograph the marine magic.

While walking down the street, I came across an amateur mechanic servicing his car's engine. Because of my background as a sculptor I was attracted to the beauty of design and engineering....

Houses made partly of wood and partly of concrete are examples of the constructive evolution of the village. These houses located in front of the coast are the ones that suffer the most from saltpeter corrosion. In addition to being frequently hit by the force of the winds and floods in times of hurricanes.

Walking along the asphalt of the street and the concrete of the sidewalks, I found this little oasis of blooming greenery.

Fishing has been and is one of the most important economic activities in this community. The boats are sheltered from bad weather at piers deep in the river.

The river does not escape the polluting footprint of man.

With this image of the conversation between the boat and its reflection I finish the selection of my photos. These that I show you in this post are the ones I took the first day of the Photo Safari...in a next post I will share with you the ones from the second day....chauuu..!!!!!

All images are my property. They were taken with my Motog82 cell phone.

The original text in spanish, was translated to english with deepl.com.
