Fairs are a fantastic place to discover local businesses, try out new products, and find new favorites. However, you'll need some self-control if you don’t want to spend all your money in one day! 😆 That's the tough part for me because everything looks so interesting, unique, and delicious—especially when it comes to food.
The only thing I don’t like about fairs as an introvert is the people rustling like little ants on every corner—squeezing through queues, pushing past each other. Sure, most people are polite, but the sheer feeling of a crowd triggers my allergic reaction to it. 😆
In October 2024, I took a walk through a fair held in Kaunas, Lithuania. Of course, I had my camera with me, so you can get a sneak peek into our Lithuanian fair.
The fair was filled with colorful stalls offering everything from handmade crafts and homegrown produce to warm, freshly baked treats. The scent of roasted nuts, grilled street food, and sweet pastries filled the air, making it nearly impossible to walk past without stopping for a bite. The variety of goods on display was impressive—beautiful ceramics, woolen socks, wooden toys, and even unique, locally made jewelry.
Despite the crowds, there's something special about seeing a city come alive with energy and local culture.
Can't wait for the Spring Fair to start!
