The hawk didn't let you know about it take off, that's a photo of another day, she will surely come around and you will take the photo just when it's about to take off, but the one's you took on the peak of the roof are beautiful. It is really a beautiful hawk, I love the checks colors on her feathers.

I have posted the hawk taking off a few times before, but yeah, it didn't give me a hint that it was about to fly. It is a good looking hawk, but a good looking dangerous one, especially dangerous for the squirrels and little dogs that it likes to catch.
