Hello Hive community. Today dawned with lots of colors, so I went out for a walk with my camera again to see what interesting things I could capture.
At first I didn't find anything, so I decided to keep looking outside my house. I went to a friend's house where they always feed the mountain animals, and I managed to take some photos of squirrels, Guacharacas (Ortalis ruficauda), and a Sardinian-headed Tanager.
Hola comunidad de Hive. El día de hoy amaneció con muchos colores, así que nuevamente salí a dar un paseo con mi cámara para ver que cosas interesantes podía capturar.
Al principio no encontré nada, así que decidí seguir buscando fuera de mi casa. Fui a la casa de un amigo en donde siempre alimentan a los animales de la montaña, y logré tomar algunas fotos de ardillas, guacharacas (ave ortalis ruficauda), y una ave Tangara cabecinegra.
The squirrel I found is a red-tailed squirrel (Sciurus granatensis). It is one of the most common squirrels in South America and can be found throughout northern Venezuela. It is very important for nature as it helps disperse seeds contributing to the regeneration of forests.
La ardilla que encontré es una ardilla cola roja (Sciurus granatensis). Es una de las más comunes de América del Sur y se puede encontrar en todo el norte de Venezuela. Es muy importante para la naturaleza ya que ayuda a dispersar semillas contribuyendo a la regeneración de los bosques.
We continue with the Guacharacas (ortalis ruficauda). They are galliform birds that also inhabit northern Venezuela. They are arboreal, but can come down to the ground to look for food. They are also very social; they usually live in groups of up to 20 individuals.
Continuamos con las Guacharacas (ortalis ruficauda). Son aves galliformes qué también habitan el norte de Venezuela. Son arborícolas, pero pueden bajar al suelo para buscar alimento. También son muy sociales; suelen vivir en grupos de hasta 20 individuos.
We will finish this post with the photos of this bird; the Sardinian Tanager. It is a small and striking bird that is found in the mountain forests and foothills of northern South America. They measure around 13 cm in length and unlike the macaws, the Sardinian Tanager usually moves in small groups.
Terminaremos este post con las fotos de este pájaro; la Tangara cabecinegra. Es un ave pequeña y llamativa qué se encuentra en los bosques de montaña y estribaciones del norte de Sudamérica. Miden alrededor de 13 cm de longitud y a diferencia de las guacharacas, la Tangara cabecinegra suele moverse en grupos pequeños.
