I got an opportunity to travel to Mawlynnong, a beautiful village in Meghalaya, which is also known as the Cleanest Village in Asia.
During my visit, I also got an opportunity to witness the incredible Living Root Bridge — a natural marvel that stands as a testament to harmony between nature and human ingenuity. These root bridges are formed by training the roots of rubber trees over rivers and streams until they become strong enough to hold the weight of people passing over them. Over time, the roots become more robust and thicker and grow into a green and sustainable bridge that can last for centuries.
