Spiders are so AMAZING!

Hi Hivers!

Happy weekend to you all. Today I have some close up on nature macro shots for you. I just happened to be walking past this spider sitting in his web when a wasp suddenly flew into the web and was stuck. The spider rushed straight in..... Seeing this I raced to get my camera and was back within just a minute.........

BUT.....

In those seconds I was gone the spider had managed to wrap the wasp tight and left him to "process"

One of the incredible things about spiders is the different sorts of web they can throw from their rear ends! As well as the thread like strands they weave their webs with there is another kind which you can see being used to wrap this wasp.
Like a super fine blanket, thin enough to be translucent but tough enough to completely overpower the wasp! WOW!

I hope you guys are not too squeamish when it comes to things like spiders but in case you are.... let's soothe your nerves and end with a cute, heart warming baby creature, LOL Baby frogs are SO cute!!

And check out this amazing turquoise cicada! I wonder why he needs such BIG EYES? It's hard to imagine having your eyes placed in such a far apart way isn't it? I think I could see more going on behind me with these LOL

Oh, wow. Your spider is gorgeous! She's an orb-weaver, maybe in the Araneus genus, but I can't say for certain (they're a massive spider family with so so any similar-looking genera and species). Either way, harmless to us and greatly beneficial to the ecosystem! A wasp is an impressive prey for any spider. Thanks for sharing!

thanks for the info. Yes harmless to us.

These are great shots taken. When spiders nail their prey, hmmmm...it becomes struggling to death my dear. Those webs I can easily brush away with my breath becomes an iron chain for their captives. Nature is interesting...

Indeed it is

The first photos of that pink spider struck me ... I had never seen such a spider, among all the spiders I know this one doesn't scare me

Wow! This is very strange spider, very beautiful. All creatures are so wonderful!
