The magnificent mosque located in village Lamseupeung, Luengbata District, Banda Aceh or better known as the Haji Keuchik Leumiek Mosque has a long history, even though the construction process was relatively fast, only taking around 29 months.
This mosque, which is also nicknamed the Golden Mosque of Aceh, is one of the sites visited by many people, both from within and outside the country. However, who would have thought that this Middle Eastern and Spanish-style mosque was the dream of the late Haji Harun for 20 years.
Almost the entire building of the Haji Keuchik Leumiek Mosque is golden yellow, it is not uncommon for this mosque to be nicknamed the Golden Mosque of Aceh.
After being functional, various religious activities were carried out at the Hajir Keuchik Leumiek Mosque, starting from five daily prayers in congregation, regular recitations held every Thursday and Saturday evening.
Until now, the Keuchik Leumik Haji Mosque is still frequently visited by tourists. The outer appearance of the mosque, surrounded by date palm trees, adds to the atmosphere like it is in the Middle East. We really hope that this mosque can always maintain its cleanliness and beauty.
