It's been snowing again here in Truckee, California. Snow in Spring is nothing unusual around here, but yesterday, I woke up to everything being coated in a unique looking way. It was not heavy powder on top of everything, looking like a ginger bread house scene. It was instead a light layer of snow that stuck to all surfaces and made the trees look magical.
Of course I grabbed my camera gear and went to work! Historic Downtown Truckee was my destination and I'm glad I headed there because I ended up shooting some great new images. This first one, of the Truckee River in Downtown Truckee, is my favorite. It has really fired off and become "viral" on the other social medias. I can't believe how much time I've spent replying to comments, folks seem to really appreciate it. And the image has already had a sale on my new website!
These were all shot with the Canon 5DS R and a 24-105 mm lens. The camera's ISO was 200, and the shutter speed and lens aperture varied. All shot handheld.
These are on my new website TruckeeTahoePhotos.com. And prints can be shipped worldwide!
Thank you for looking, I hope you enjoyed these new snowy spring shots. Have a great day!

Great shots 👍 I know the appeal of shots like the first one but I'm kind of drawn to the last shot with more color and contrast.
Thanks @steven-patrick! I totally understand. And the view is a great one. I shoot there often.
White snow invites us to a fantastically beautiful world.
That's what makes it look like a fairytale town. 👍
Glad you like that fairytale look! It felt like a fairytale when I was walking around. So beautiful.
Honestly, you should be taking photos of celebrities
You’re just too good!
Ha! Thank you, but I prefer nature over people.
Beautiful pictures!
Thank you @iris085!
I can understand why these pictures would be bestsellers anyday because I can't even keep my eyes off of them, especially the second one. I would grab my camera if I were in your shoes too.
Great to hear! Glad you liked seeing those, and yes, I should probably always have my camera with me. I missed an incredible colorful sunrise this morning. Driving with no camera...
We haven't had as much snow in December as you guys have in March. Beautiful photos!
Miracle March!!! It's been an incredible one. Our snow totals were behind the average, but now they are looking great.
I love snow, but in March, it's brutal, everything that started to bloom is now dead 🤔
Ouch.
Wow, it's amazing! The town and everything are covered with snow. What a delightful scene.
Delightful, indeed! Glad you liked that @jahanzaibanjum.
You still have snow, spring hasn't arrived yet!!
Hmmm... But the calendar says Spring, lol! Honestly, I'm ready for wildflowers and warmer days.
It's so beautiful, so snowily beautiful, like everything is frozen in time. I just love the ambiance!
Glad you liked seeing that, @jemima2001!
Ahhh damn! That last photo is just.... breathtaking! The scenery!!
The selfie??? Lol, just kidding. Yes, that is a breathtaking view, I love that spot!
It's all about identifying that "perfect spot" ey, in almost all aspects of life 😁

That first one has definitely been the most popular one. Great views everywhere that day!

Ha! I like that, we are indeed the kingdom of snow!!!!
Here in our country, in our city, it's very hot now, so I like this kind of weather, which is snowing, everything looks so beautiful.
It's been cold here. I'm ready for hot days! I guess we all want what we don't have... lol.
Yeah you are right.
Thanks alot.
