I recently had the pleasure of photographing the Trails and Vistas Art Hike here in the Tahoe area. It used to be an annual event. I've been shooting since 2009 but due to its popularity, it is now happening twice a year. Usually, the event happens in September and it still will be happening then. However this added hike offered the bonus element of WILDFLOWERS!!! One of my favorite subject matters.
The flowers were mostly all late season bloomers but just like in the spring, the summer flowers up here have been incredible this year. The weather for the hike was perfect, warm but not too hot. The wind wasn't bad. However... the mosquitoes were bad. I ended up using two different types of bug spray and they were still biting.
Here's a few of the photos from the hike, in no particular order. These were all shot with a Canon 5DS R and a 24-105mm lens. A flash was used for most of the people photos. To find out more about Trails and Vistas and the performers, please visit their website at www.trailsandvistas.org. Thank you for looking and I hope you all are having a great day!

Looks like a fun event. Nature alone in shots like the dock is awesome. Then they just get more interesting with the characters.
Fun event indeed! New locations and new performances every year. It's for a non-profit. I don't make much $ at all from these shoots but I always love participating.
Looks like such a cool and peaceful place.
I've been a bit stressed out lately with an incredibly busy real estate photography season. It was very peaceful out there and very needed. Cheers! Webber Lake Info
I’ve always wanted to get into real estate photography. This weekend, I will be stopping by one of the projects my wife’s work is doing and getting some shots for them. It’s a huge resort that is in the process of being built.
fun series!
Thanks! It's a fun event, for sure.
the natural scenery is very extraordinary and of course the photos will be very interesting to see I am very happy to see photos like this
Glad you like them! I'm super lucky to live in an area with tons of similar natural scenery.

It was a beautiful day out there! Unfortunately, we now have smoke in our area from distant wildfires. Not a threat but doesn't make for good photos or light.
