Since we couldn’t go out to dinner on my son’s birthday because he had obligations, we spent that day simply having a drink and some cake at home, leaving the dinner for the next day, last night.
It was wonderful, and the dinner was absolutely delicious.
We went to a restaurant in Šibenik called "Antin Gušt," which is 17 kilometers from where we live.
We ordered two mixed meat platters: my older son and wife shared one for two, my younger son had a small one for himself, I ordered grilled chicken, and my nephew, to whom I’m also a godfather, had a breaded schnitzel.
There was also a mixed salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, and green lettuce topped with freshly grated cabbage.
For drinks, we had a liter of wine and sparkling water, while the youngest son and my wife drank Coca-Cola.
Of course, bread was also necessary, and we had two flatbreads from a wood-fired oven brushed with olive oil, which were absolutely delicious.
On the way home, we stopped in a place called Srima to photograph the moon because it was stunning. We also took a short walk on the beach to let the food settle and prepare ourselves for the cake at home.
When we got home from dinner, we inflated balloons shaped like the number 20, placed them on the cake, and continued the celebration.
Of course, we also used that time for taking photos, a few family pictures as a keepsake and for the family album.
It was a beautiful evening, and the cake was delicious, filled with Nutella and topped with ground walnuts and hazelnuts.
This was another wonderful day and evening. I am happy, and so is my family, which is what matters most to me.
