One of the colder days this year

One of the colder days this year and in general over the past two years

Today is one of the colder days this year and overall in the past two years because last winter felt more like spring, with temperatures in January reaching above 15 degrees and plenty of sunshine.
So now, this feels like a real winter, which I think is just beginning to show its teeth.

Outside, a hurricane-force bora wind is blowing, breaking branches off trees, and of course, all traffic from the inland to the coast has been suspended because the bridges are closed for all vehicle categories—so it’s really bad.

During the night, the wind was so strong that I thought a few times it might blow the tiles off my roof, but thank God, everything turned out fine for me.

At noon today, the temperature was 2 degrees, but due to the wind, the perceived temperature was -7, which is quite cold for my coastal region.

I hope the wind at least calms down in the coming days because if it continues like this, there will be damage on a national level, not just in individual cities.

As for me, with my injured leg, I am still resting at home, sitting by the window with a coffee and the warmth of the fireplace, enjoying the view of the islands and the foamy, wavy sea.

It’s so beautiful to watch a seagull hovering in place in the air while the wind blows against it. With its large wings, it just stays there, swaying left and right—it’s truly mesmerizing. I could watch them all day.
Sometimes, I even envy them—mostly for the breathtaking view they have from above and because they can fly wherever they want, whenever they want.

Wishing you all a pleasant evening, dear friends!
