If you like to catch up with my Fuerte photo diary, check out the previous reports here: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3 and Day 4.
At day 5 of my stay on Fuerteventura I set out on another tour across the mountain range which separates the northern part from the southern part of the island. It was another full dose of what makes Fuerte so special to me. A beautiful landscape that lets your mind easily time travel into pre-historic times, when earth was still young with no witnesses to its untouched beauty.
Here my photographic yield from this tour for you to enjoy:
Hugin and Munin payed me a visit.
Thanks for following along and see you back next time π.

Could this be the area where the Americans dropped off Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin in 1969?
I wonder if the chipmunk is still looking for the footprints or even the American flag?
The two crows will know the answer. Keep quiet, though, because they don't want to get caught whistleblowing.
Ps: Stunning photos - as always!
I think you're onto something here :D
Thanks for stopping by!
Wonderful, wonderful photos. Amazingly beautiful, and, as you say, timeless. But for me, the high points are the chipmunk...lovely action shot. And the sober ravens. Nice that they posed for you like that :)
Neat set, great wildlife photos you caught there to!
Thank you!
Beautiful pictures @shaka
I wonder what those little squirrels πΏοΈ are eating in that barren land.
I also to have a tour on mountains and your pictures are beautiful but weather seems hot
the mountain is very barren, but the atmosphere is very good.
Incredible to see mountains from different part of the world. amazing!
Terrain looks like Laddakh
Wow, that is some awsm landscape!π€
Amazing view ππ€© wonderful pictures π
Both the birds and animals make the whole vibe of solitude and wilderness so powerful! Love it! :D
Awesome shots. I just got back from Madeira, kind of "neighbor" island :) Totally loved it there...

This looks like some old American movie set! The place has really cool vibes but that squirrel did make me smile! He must have come pretty close since you managed to make such a good shot with just a phone!
Such a great lifestyle you're living there, so close to nature. Are you backpacking and camping in a tent?
Anyway, amazing photos!
I'm wondering what the chipmunk feeds on in this barren landscape?
