📷 Small Nameless Lake at Sunset

in Photography Lovers3 years ago (edited)

When I launch a drone into the air, I don't always know in advance what I can see. So I do a lot of reconnaissance right there on the spot and find some surprises :) This may be partly my fault — maybe I should look at the maps of the place where I'm going to shoot more often and carefully (but please don't think that I'm so lazy that I don't look there at all 😄).

Very often, my drone shooting takes place along the road on a trip — and my path is sometimes long, so I can’t see everything on the map along the tens or hundreds of kilometers that I plan to drive. Besides, I can't predict where and when I'll want to stop, look at the sky, look around and say: this is great, I need to take off!

And sometimes I can’t even say exactly where exactly I will pass, swim or fly or stay on a trip: this happens when it’s not a trip I planned, but, for example, for work, volunteering, or just some kind of trip on my personal business with friends, when I take a drone with me just in case.

So I just have to seize the moment and try to shoot where I can find time for this, especially during sunset. A quick look at the map, and then I look around already in the air :)

Fortunately, in most cases there is something interesting around, especially if I am outside the big city. For example, this is a small nameless lake four kilometers from the village of Tomtor in Yakutia, Russia.

Warm sunset light, the blue of the sky reflected in the surface of the water — everything I love! :) Yes, and the surroundings of the lake itself are interesting to consider from a height: there is tundra, marshland, and a forest in places.

I think I had a good flight there. Now the sun has almost set, soon it will be time for me to return the drone back.

Luckily, another day I had opportunity to return there and fly around the area again, but more on that another time.

It's better to watch the photo in high resolution.

It looks like there's a crater in the area. That makes the place even beautiful. Nice shots.

Yes, I agree, because of the almost round shape, it is quite similar. Thanks a lot!
