Mina Magazine #8 | Cities and women

A little later than usual, but a new edition of Mina is finally out. This time we approach street photography, in its broadest understanding, through the eyes of six artists from different locations around the globe.

This month's cover is a work belonging to Giganto, a photographic intervention project idealized by Brazilian photographer Raquel Brust.

Producing this edition was quite challenging, because we wanted to bring artists with different photographic aesthetics and that also portray unique concepts of what we understand by city and street photography.

To understand a little more about this, I recommend you read the editorial written by me in the issue, in the pages reproduced below.

I also leave you with another brilliant text by our columnist Jessica Valmorbida, who describes her particular relationship with the city of São Paulo, where she lives, and how life in the big cities is engendered and racialized, not being experienced in the same way by men and women.
