Adam and I are like two fingers on a hand - always together, always in sync. Our friendship has been going on for years, and it seems to me that we have lived more in that time than some people do in a lifetime. Adam is the type of person who brings light wherever he appears. His energy is contagious, and the smile on his face is a constant companion. Everything is more fun with him, whether we're planning a trip halfway around the world or simply sitting on a bench in our park.
When we are together, the days are filled with laughter and stories that could be told over and over again without ever getting bored. His positivity is contagious, and what connects us even more is the fact that we have almost identical views on the world. Although we are not biological brothers, people often think we are, because we share some inexplicable closeness.
One summer we decided to go on a dream trip - first to Rome and then to Malta. The idea itself was exciting, and with Adam, everything got even better.
In Rome we spent days exploring every hidden corner. Of course, we went to the Colosseum first. We stood in front of that magnificent building, amazed by its size and history. Adam, as always, was full of energy and ideas. He challenged me to imagine what it would be like to fight in the arena as gladiators, resulting in funny improvisations that caught the eye of other tourists. "This place has a soul," he said as we strolled between the huge stone walls, imagining ancient times.
Walking through the Roman Forum, drinking coffee in Piazza Navona and throwing coins into the Trevi Fountain were activities we filled with stories and plans. Adam had a habit of starting a conversation with everyone he met, so at one point we ended up with a group of Italian tourists, who showed us a few secret spots in the city.
Our next destination was Malta. That small, beautiful archipelago won us over at first sight. We spent hours exploring old cities like Valletta and Mdina, enjoying views of the crystal blue sea. One of the best moments was our trip to the Blue Lagoon - a place that looks like heaven. Adam jumped into the water first, challenging me to follow. His courage and spontaneity are what make him special.
One evening in Malta, while we were sitting on the beach watching the sunset, we talked about everything - life, plans, dreams. It was one of those rare, honest moments when you realize how much someone means to you. The trust we have in each other is something that cannot be described in words.
Each return home after our adventures is like a short rest before the next big story. And in everyday things - drinking coffee, playing video games or making new plans - it's always interesting with Adam. His energy and the way he looks at life make him not only my best friend but also a person who inspires me to be a better version of myself.
I know there are many more adventures ahead and I look forward to everything to come, because when you are in the company of someone like Adam - life becomes a continuous adventure.
