Baby Birds 🐣 Lizards 🦎 Frogs Fornicating 🐸 & Caymans in the Ditch 🐊 Clevia, Suriname

in Photography Lovers β€’ 4 years ago (edited)

I have many photos of different kinds of animals from many places in Suriname. Yesterday evening I walked around our place and looked at everything because there was so much water from the rain we have every day now.

I saw dragonfly flies around us but I can’t take the picture because they don’t stop for me. I said to my two daughters, hmm there are not other animals today, and my little girl said, mom I see a bird and it has eggs in the lime tree.

Its egg hatch and have baby already but the baby can not yet fly.

It was quite but it looks worried about its baby. I don’t want to disturb it. I just want to take pictures and I leave them, but it walked away a little bit from its baby.

I can see baby bird and I took one photo of baby bird and I go back home. When I walk back I look at the bird, and I see it with her baby already.

This is a bird photo I took this morning.

I saw so many black birds but difficult to take photo of them. They are very quick.

These birds are also very quick. They are small birds but cute, and I see them every day.

The other day I was wearing a beauty mud mask, and I walked behind our apartment to find insects. I saw two small lizards. Normally they very quickly run away when they see me but they not run now, but looking at me and not run like before.

I think because my face is little black, make it wonder what is that 😁. So because it's looking at me I try to take photos near it. It’s a small lizard but looks a little bit big because I took pictures very near it.

This is a picture I took little bit far of it.

This one is smaller than those ones and its color is a little bit green, black and brown also.

They are running away together.

That night my husband busy teaching Khmer language with his students in USA and I walked outside to look around and put everything inside the home to lock the door.

Then I see these frogs. At first I think it's dog poop because a dog sometimes like to poop if front my house.

Over there they have five caymans. I walked for exercise over there a lot but I never see them. But one day I just looked at the canal and I see their back in the water, then I asked my landlord, what is that,? It looks like a crocodile? My landlord said, they are caymans and behind your apartment before have one also but its gone now.

I asked her again why do they have near the street? She said, the people keep them to eat and its meat is good for our body. I said, oh really? But the people feed it are not scare it will eat humans, especiallly kids. She said, no it’s not like the crocodile.

I still wonder, why do people feed them like that? I think like this because I don’t know caymans. I think they are crocodiles because in my country we have only crocodiles.

I stopped asking her because I can’t speak English more. When I at home I tell and ask Justin all the story. He tell me all about that. But he doesn’t know about its meat is good for body or health because he is Italist. Have a nice day everyone 😊.

I would think that animal as a crocodile, and I would definitely run away from there fast. :) This is the first time I've seen such an animal. What a lucky family you are. Witnessing such beauties makes one feel lucky. It gives me pleasure to look at your posts. I also saw a crow carrying something in its mouth today. Every year they come to the ventilation of our house and make a nest. In the morning, we wake up to the sounds of the cubs. Today, I think he was carrying something to his house to make eggs.😍

Thank you for your stopping by I’m glad to see your comment. I have seen other insects and animals did like that so much because this is the rainy season in Suriname. !ENGAGE 45

By the way, I also saw flies commit adultery last year.

Some interesting animals around there. That lizard is interesting. In Jamaica the green ones are like that, they don’t run, the just look at you . This one is a little different from the ones in Jamaica, they don’t have that stripe.

I had no idea what caiman was, I just fall it crocodile 🐊 too

I hear Justin tell me, your country maybe has caymans also, lizards here run so fast but the iguanas do not run fast like lizards. Thank you for your feedback 😊. !ENGAGE 35

Cayman? In my head that’s a crocodile. Lol! Not sure I’d even get a pic. I’d be out of there. Haha!
Love your photos.

Haha!! Interesting fauna.
By the way, those frogs need to behave. I hope they're at least in a long term relationship. πŸ˜†

Thank youπŸ˜€

Thank you

That was very interesting. I didn't know about Caymens. I can't understand how someone could eat it.
The shots you got are wonderful. The birds are nice to see and the frogs looked pretty relaxed haha.

Thank you very for interested my friend 😊. I can’t understand too, it’s looks like so scared the same crocodile. When it moves its tail in the water, it scares me and my girls, we scream of it. I still wonder why the people feed them in public place. !ENGAGE 25
